Everything indicates that Benelli is already working on the start of the distribution of its new Tornado 400 within the European continent. That is at least the information provided by the American media Ride Apart, which points to this first half of 2024 as the ideal moment for the landing of the Italian model.
Although it has been sold in China for some time now, under the commercial name Tornado 402, in Europe it is very likely that this will become the Tornado 400. In addition, the pertinent adjustments would be made, if necessary, to adapt the mechanics to the current Euro5 environmental regulations that prevail in our borders.
Benelli Tornado 400 in detail
In any case, the new Benelli Tornado 400 will keep its twin-cylinder engine unchanged. 399ccwith 4 valves in the cylinder head and Delphi injection. This is associated with a change of six ratios.
The Tornado 400 declares a final power of 47.5 HP at 10,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 35 Nm at 8,000 revolutions, right at the limit established for holders of the current A2 license. Some figures in charge of moving with ease the 172 kilograms in running order declared by the brand.

The new one Tornado 400 will have to face rivals at the level of Kawasaki’s Ninja 400, the CFMoto 450 SR or Yamaha YZF-R3. Taking into account the price of all of them, above 6,000 euros, we assume that the transalpine frame will be very similar in this regard, although the brand has not yet commented on these issues.
