If recently we told you that Harley-Davidson I was going to release a version CVO from his Pan Americajust a few days later, we know that the American maxitrail will arrive accompanied by a spectacular CVO Road Glide ST 2024.
That is, next week’s announcement will include at least one CVO Pan Americaa new CVO Road Glide STin addition to updated versions of the Road Glide and Street Glide with the Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine.
First data on the Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide ST
Harley-Davidson will update your Road Glide and Street Glide, which had not been mentioned in the previous news of the brand. Of course, the new models will have improvements extracted from their respective versions. CVO that were presented last summer. Let’s hope that all these launches are an integral part of the presentation event of Harley-Davidson which will take place in just a few days, on January 24.
The evidence supporting the existence of these new models comes directly from Harley-Davidson. The company has prematurely published pages related to several new accessories on its official websites for various international markets.
Although some of these pages have already been removed, the specialized press and lovers of the brand immediately took notice and speculations began about it.
On one of these pages, it is explicitly mentioned CVO Road Glide ST by name and with the model code FLTRXSTSE. By the way, it does so in conjunction with a forged carbon fiber seat cover. This item also fits the «’24-later FLHX and FLTRX modelss”, referring to the Street Glide and Road Glide of this year. This clearly tells us that both models will return in 2024 and suggests that they have undergone significant updates, as the seat cover is not compatible with 2023 or earlier models.
The seat cover is just one of several new accessories made from forged carbon fiber. The rest appear to be at least a front fender and a tank console. These accessories would be available for both the Road Glide as for the Street Glideand will arrive as standard in the CVO Road Glide ST.
Regarding engine upgrades, there has been speculation as to whether other models will also receive an increase in displacement, especially after the engine upgrade. CVO Road Glide and CVO Street Glide to the new Milwaukee-Eight VVT engine. But, in the accessory lists the FLHX models are mentioned several times (Street Glide) and FLTRX (Road Glide), but not their special versions.
All this suggests that the Street Glide and the Road Glide are being updated with the Milwaukee-Eight 117 engine, which was previously reserved only for the models S.T., Breakout and CVO from the previous year. The strange thing is that no mention is made of the street Glide Special nor of the Road Glide Special from 2024 on any accessories page. This leads us to the conclusion that since the standard models will receive a mechanical update, there will be no need for the special versions.
