On the occasion of the start of the Moto2 season at the Thai Grand Prix, Triumph Motorcycles and MotoGP have revealed the motorcycle that the winning rider of the Triumph Triple Trophy 2026 will take: An exclusive Street Triple 765 Moto2 Edition with the serial number #001, designed with a special decoration that will make this model a unique piece.
In addition, one lucky racing, Triumph and Moto2 fan will win the unit with serial number #765 in a draw that will take place at the end of the 2026 season among all those who participate in the voting after each race to decide the winner of this season’s TTT.
Steve SargentProduct Manager at Triumph, says: “With the record number of votes last year and thousands of fans from around the world participating in the draw, we wanted to create a Triumph Triple Trophy bike that comes one step closer to the Moto2 World Championship machines. That’s why we are offering riders and fans the chance to win an exclusive Street Triple 765 Moto2 Limited Edition personalized with the serial number engraved on the seatpost.”
During the official press conference at the Chang International Circuit, Buriram (Thailand), Steve Sargent also revealed new plans regarding sustainable fuel testing ahead of the 2027 Moto2 season, when regulations will require the use of 100% non-fossil fuels.
Following successful durability testing with 40% non-fossil fuels last year, most of the engine mapping and optimization work has now been completed to make way for the next phase of testing. This year, Triumph and Moto2 will test samples of 100% non-fossil fuels to evaluate their performance and durability.
In his own words: “Promoting the Moto2 World Championship over the last seven years has been quite an experience. Since the first race in Qatar in 2019, we have not stopped working on the development of the Moto2 project. Together, we have completed 1,781,698 km in the Moto2 World Championship and all that mileage allows us to develop and implement updates that further improve performance on the track.”
Concludes: “In addition to improving performance, we are also committed to supporting and developing a sustainable future for motorcycling. Therefore, as the championship moves towards the use of 100% non-fossil fuels, we will begin using samples of 100% sustainable fuels to test performance and durability during this season.”
Since its inception in 2020, the Triumph Triple Trophy has been characterized by rewarding effort beyond victory in each race. In its first edition, the award went to Marco Bezzecchi (2020), followed by Raúl Fernández (2021), Jeremy Alcoba (2022), Pedro Acosta (2023), Ai Ogura (2024) and Diogo Moreira (2025).
The latter, who also became Moto2 World Champion, accumulated the highest points thanks to fan votes during the 2025 season and became the winner of the Triumph Triple Trophy at the penultimate round of the season in Portimão, to collect his Street Triple 765 RS a week later in Valencia.
The seventh edition of the Triumph Triple Trophy repeats its successful operation to proclaim the winner of the season. On the Sunday of each Grand Prix weekend, an expert jury made up of members from Dorna and Triumph will select three Moto2 riders for their outstanding performances on the track. Fans will be able to vote through the MotoGP Instagram profile and each rider will receive points based on the number of votes received.
In reference to Triumph’s 765cc engine, points in each GP are awarded as follows: 7, 6 and 5 points for the first, second and third most voted, respectively. The number of votes each rider accumulates through the MotoGP Instagram profile will determine the distribution of points and the classification will be updated after each round.
For the second year in a row, fans can also enter the draw to win their own Triumph Triple Trophy. This is a giveaway via the Triumph website and just complete a simple entry form for your chance to win. Last year’s winner was a lucky fan from China.
Alfonso CarthusianMotoGP Sports Director, has spoken about the value that the TTT brings to the championship and to the fans: “The Triumph Triple Trophy is a great way to connect with fans around the world and allow them to be part of the competition. This year, we are excited to see these exclusive Moto2 Editions as a prize. This will make the 2026 Triumph Triple Trophy even more special for the riders and the fans.”
