On June 19, the Inclusion Commission of the Royal Spanish Motorcycle Federation (RFME) held the “Visit to the Motorcycle Museum”an inclusive activity promoted with the aim of bringing motorcycle culture closer to people with disabilities.
The event had the participation of two groups, one belonging to the APADIS Foundation and the other to ONCE, resulting in a resounding organizational and personal success, where all attendees thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
A “Visit to the Motorcycle Museum” marked by inclusion
Throughout the approximately two hours that the adapted guided “Visit to the Motorcycle Museum” lasted, the participants toured the different exhibition areas. In a fun and friendly way, they were able to immerse themselves in the sporting memory of our country, remembering the great achievements of riders and teams, while exploring everything from pioneering classic motorcycles to the most recognized historical competition models.
The entire organization of the activity was carried out by Rafael Taboadahead of the RFME’s inclusive sports commission, who made sure that the day met its main goal: promote the active participation of people with disabilities within the motorcycling environment.
The guests discovered the rich history of national motorcycling, admiring the most emblematic models and the technological evolution of Spanish factories. This day consolidates motor culture as a very effective tool of social participation and equality for people with special abilities.
After the success of the event, Taboada wanted to highlight the importance of consolidating this type of initiatives: “Motorcycling is not just a sport, it is a powerful tool of inclusion, culture and social participation. Seeing how the APADIS and ONCE groups have enjoyed and interacted today with the history of our industry shows us that the passion for motorcycles has no barriers.”
