In recent years Francesco Guidotti had been linked to KTM. Specifically, he was with the Austrian brand until the end of 2024, when his departure was announced. After some time away from the front line, Guidotti rejoins the championship and does so in one of the positions of responsibility.
The Italian will be the new Team Manager of Trackhouse, and has already begun to occupy a position that has great challenges ahead of him since the Czech Republic GP. He will be in charge of replacing Davide Brivio at the end of the season, who currently occupies the position of Team Principal.
In Trackhouse there was no Team Manager, but it is the easiest way to make a smooth, effective transition without having to give many more explanations or cause a stir. In this way Guidotti will be able to become familiar with the way of working of the American team where, by the way, Brivio has achieved results that once seemed unthinkable.
Guidotti will have to start his position by making an important decision
One of the points in which Francesco Guidotti will have to give his point of view and exert force will be to finish defining which drivers will ride for the team in 2027. Currently Trackhouse has Ai Ogura and Raúl Fernández. The Japanese is already out of the team and everything indicates that he will go to Yamaha, but in the case of the Spaniard it remains to be seen whether or not he continues in a structure that many riders want to join. Among them, Marini or Bastianini sound, so he has some very pleasant work ahead of him.
Justin Marks (founder and owner of the team): “It is with great enthusiasm that we officially announce Francesco Guidotti as our new Team Manager in MotoGP. Francesco has a long and brilliant career in professional motorcycling, but, equally important, he fully shares the culture and vision of our company. In this new phase of the MotoGP world championship, having a team guided by a person of Francesco’s caliber will only increase the opportunities that await us.”
Francesco Guidotti: “First of all, I must thank Justin for the trust. I am excited to be back and I couldn’t have hoped for a better opportunity than this. Trackhouse is a young and professional team that has already achieved really special results and I will do everything I can to contribute to the growth of the team and the riders. Working again with Aprilia is also special for me: many good memories and friends. I am excited to join the SuperFile Trackhouse MotoGP Team!”.
