The six victories of Valentin Debise At WorldSSP 2026 they have served ZXMoto to demonstrate what it is capable of on a track. A philosophy that is now definitively transferred to its registrable range with the launch of the new 820RR-R and 820R (naked variant). Two models that do nothing but improve what is present based on more technology and features, with a truly reasonable starting price.
820RR-R: a twist to the ZXMoto sports concept
After the official presentation of the first concept last year, the 820RR-R arrives on the Chinese market creating a real commercial stir. So much so that on the day of its launch, almost 1,200 units of the model were reserved online. The reason is none other than the interest that has been aroused among fans of racing saddles in the country. A completely understandable fact when we carefully analyze the technical improvements it includes compared to the standard version that we knew until now.
Starting with a completely revised engine where the compression ratio has been increased, going from 13.0:1 of the 820RR to 13.3:1 of this 820RR-R. Although the original configuration of the 819 cc three-cylinder remains unchanged, it now has titanium valves instead of the steel ones of the standard model. The result is an increase in power from the initial 135 HP to 145 hp at 13,500 rpm of this version. The rotation speed is also higher, which rises to the 14,750 revolutions line.

As for its cycle part, as published by Cycle World, the new 820RR-R is somewhat lighter than its range sister. With an approved weight in running order of only 185 kilogramsthere are few models on the current market, within its category, that can stand up to it in this regard. We also find improvements in its standard equipment where we can now enjoy a set of forged alloy wheels or a new suspension system.
The latter has a fully adjustable 43 mm fork and a rear monoshock, both elements signed for the occasion by KYB. Braking now benefits from a Brembo M50 caliper kit instead of the four-piston Taisko ones on the RR. Behind we find the same trend, where both the caliper and the brake master cylinder are courtesy of the Italian company. Other details to take into account in this 820RR-R are, for example:

The official launch price in its native country is 61,980 yen, something like 7,980 euros. In addition, the brand has celebrated this commercial milestone with the staging of a special series called Champion Editionwearing the war colors used by Valentin Debise in the World Supersport Championship. Those who want to get one of these will have to pay an additional 4,000 yen compared to the standard 820RR-R.
The 820R also debuts in the Chinese market
The 820RR-R, as well as the special Champion Edition series, have arrived accompanied by a very special guest at this commercial debut. We are referring to the long-awaited naked model from ZXMoto, the 820R. Based on the entry version of the 820RR “uses suspension and braking components from Chinese brands Yu’an and Taisko, respectively”as detailed by our colleagues.
In this way, the general specifications of the latter remain unchanged, with a maximum declared power of 135 HP at 12,000 rpm. As a curious fact that affects the entire 820 range of ZXMoto, its founder, Zhang Xue, has announced that no fan without at least one year of experience will be able to purchase any of the models that comprise it in China: “The 820 series motorcycles are too powerful for beginners; for safety reasons, riders with less than one year of experience are prohibited from purchasing them.”

From the brand they conclude: “Anyone who discovers a buyer with less than one year of experience purchasing an 820 series motorcycle can report him to the factory. After verification by the factory, the whistleblower will receive a reward of 5,000 yuan.” That said, at the moment, there is no confirmation of when we will be able to enjoy these models in our market, nor what their official rates will be once they are sold here.
