The past Tokyo Motor Show 2026 left a multitude of innovations within the two-wheeled sector. Also preparations as special as this one Monkey 125 Black Limited by Kitaco. With it, the well-known Japanese specialist has intended two fundamental things: On the one hand, to significantly improve the image and character of the legendary model. On the other hand, keep safe the versatility and efficiency that the well-known Honda Minibike offers to its lucky owners.
The perfect formula in this Monkey 125 Black Limited by Kitaco
There is one aspect above any other that stands out in this Monkey 125 Black Limited by Kitaco: the massive use of black in its components. Far from “darkening” the final result, it manages to give a personal and unique touch to the model. To do this, its creators have focused on adding a series of key components that precisely help to perceive this sensation when we see its recent customization.

Starting with the brake calipers, continuing with a basket anchored to the headlight supports themselves and ending with the upper cover of the latter. In contrast to these elements we have the forceful metal skid plate, FAR brake discs and a prominent raised rear handle. The rearview mirror kit that emerges from each side of the handlebars shares this same finish.
The icing on the cake
Although each and every one of the “house brand” accessories that give life to this Monkey 125 Black Limited by Kitaco are an essential part of its final finish, there is one element that is particularly relevant within the set: Its double side exhaust system. As Supermoto8 colleagues describe it, “A new dual exhaust system with headers that extend under the engine creates an attractive visual effect and is expected to improve performance.”

They conclude: “Kitaco ingeniously designed the front section of the exhaust pipes, below the engine, with a serpentine shape that ensures they are long enough to balance low-rpm torque with high-rpm extension, thus achieving a substantial improvement in performance.”
The technical section
Let us remember that the Monkey 125 is equipped with a 123.9 cc single-cylinder engine, two valves, overhead camshaft and air cooling, with total internal dimensions of 50 mm x 63.1 mm, in terms of diameter and stroke, and a compression ratio of 10.0:1. The engine is powered by programmed electronic injection (PGM-FI) and can offer an average consumption of just 1.5 liters per 100 kilometers traveled.

On top of that, Honda declares a maximum power of 9.4 HP at 6,750 rpm. The Monkey also has a five-speed transmission that offers a wide range of gear ratios, which translates into manageable performance in the city and a comfortable ride. Altogether this technical arrangement provides pleasant and constant power throughout the rev range.
All parts are available separately
The good thing about the preparations that Kitaco presents is that we can get hold of all the components used in the process thanks to the fact that most of them are available on the brand’s official website. Regarding this aspect, our colleagues point out: “Priced at 5,940 yen, the front basket maximizes practicality. The headlights are adorned with a practical and elegant cover (priced at 2,640 yen).”

On the handlebars of the Monkey 125 Black Limited by Kitaco we also find a dual-port USB power kit (priced at 5,500 yen). “These affordable and practical accessories transform this charming urban motorcycle into a fully equipped vehicle that you will want to use every day”they conclude from the Taiwanese media.
