Buying a new Harley-Davidson in Spain continues to be an operation that requires a considerable budget. The 2026 range currently starts in 12,300 euros of the Nightsterwhile one Pan America 1250 ST part of 21,900 euros and the models touring greatly exceed the 37,000 euros.
But now there is a much cheaper alternative for those who want to have a Harley-Davidson at home. It does not have 2 wheels, it does not have the well-known propeller Revolution Max And, obviously, you don’t need a driver’s license. It’s a record player, a turntable.
A Harley-Davidson that turns, but not on the road
Those responsible for this peculiar and epic creation are Pro-Ject Audio Systemsa manufacturer specialized in hi-fi equipment that has already carried out similar collaborations with brands and artists such as AC/DC, Metallica, Elvis Presley either The Beatles. His new creation is simply called Harley-Davidson Turntable and is part of the company’s selection of special editions.
The most striking thing is obvious. The turntable chassis is directly inspired by the logo Bar&Shield of Harley-Davidsonwith a construction that combines aluminum, MDF and different metal elements. The result aims to bring home part of the mechanical and forceful aesthetics associated with Milwaukee machines. And they have not limited themselves to putting the logo of harley on a conventional record player. Pro-Ject has also worked on the technical part so that this collaboration has arguments beyond aesthetics.
Much more than merchandising
The main plate is made of glass and has a diameter of 300 mm, while the transmission system reaches a total moving mass of 2.75 kg. One of the most curious elements is the enormous puck used to hold the puck: it weighs 915 grams and also bears the identity of Harley-Davidson. The system uses a belt transmission and allows speeds of 33 and 45 rpm to be electronically selected. This way it is not necessary to manually change the belt to go from one type of disc to another.
The construction also seeks to minimize vibrations and resonances. The turntable uses height-adjustable aluminum legs with TPE cushioning, while the chassis combines aluminum and MDF to achieve a rigid structure but capable of controlling vibrations.
The set is completed with an 8.6-inch S-shaped aluminum arm, hand-finished and polished in some of its parts, a headshell compatible with the SME standard and a previously adjusted Pro-Ject Pick it PRO cartridge. Of course, it also includes a leather plate mat. The dimensions are not exactly compact either: it measures 543 mm wide, 124 mm high and 437 mm deep.
2,590 euros to listen to a Harley
The part that will probably attract the most attention is its price. In the United States it has been announced $3,299while in Europe the price is 2,590 euros. In fact, these dishes already appear as a special edition in the official catalog of Pro-Ject. Beyond the «biker fetish«Obviously, this collaboration makes sense from a collecting point of view.
