TVS Motor enters fully into the world of equipment after the purchase of Hedon Helmets

Hedon Helmets Since 2011, it has been developing a range of helmets where the retro style or artisanal look has become a recognizable hallmark. Founded by Reg Flint and Lindsay Chongthis small shell brand based in Croydon, has always sought to offer a pleasant experience, where comfort was the absolute priority, to those customers who purchased one of its models.

Hedon enters a new business stage

As confirmed by MCN, in recent months TVS Motor and Hedon Helmets have been negotiating the sale of the latter to the burgeoning Indian business group. In fact, the purchase agreement was closed last March, although it has not been made public until now. A commercial operation that highlights two key aspects in the corporate decisions of the Asian company:

  • She likes British companies (She also owns Norton)
  • Seeks to expand business horizons within the two-wheeled sector

In any case, the relationship between both brands goes back a long way. In the early stages of last year, on the occasion of Bharat Global Mobility Expo 2025TVS Motor displayed in its products and accessories display a good part of the range of models that at that time were part of the Hedon product range. Later, the helmet model was announced Hedon x Norton Series 1with two finishes in fiberglass and carbon.

Let us remember that Norton Motorcycles is another of the brands acquired by TVS Motor, giving meaning to the aforementioned collaboration with Hedon Helmets. Now, after closing the agreement between both companies, Reg Flint, co-founder of Hedon, commented on what until now had been his company: “Hedon helmets always attract attention. You can see a whole wall full of helmets, and suddenly there’s a Hedon helmet in the middle, and people stop and say, ‘Wow! What helmet is this? It’s amazing!'”.

The brand will maintain activity in the United Kingdom

Today Hedon produces around 6,000 units per year, of which just over a thousand (special editions and custom-made copies) are manufactured by hand in the Croydon workshop. The rest, following similar production techniques, are assembled in China in two different factories. This aspect is perhaps one of the most concerning to the brand’s followers.

However, everything indicates that this business dynamic will remain unchanged, despite TVS Motor now being the new owner. Reg explained to MCN that products made in the UK “They are assembled and finished by hand in the country, using parts and components manufactured in China. The shells, EPS and other components are mailed, and then a small team of four craftsmen assemble and finish the helmets”.

Concludes: “The rest of the British team, made up of twelve people, is responsible for design, customer service, finances, etc.” Regarding the process applied in the United Kingdom, Reg refers to the quality of finishes and materials used in it: “If you look closely at the quality of the painting, you will see that we used many layers of varnish, which gives the painting exceptional depth and shine, thus achieving an incredible, high-quality look.” Subsequently, work is done on both the embroidery of the inner lining and the installation of the rest of the helmet components.

A new range of products is coming

MCN’s interview with Reg Flint has also served to learn some details about the new adventure models that Hedon has included in its offer: “It has always been a challenge: how to create a modern-looking helmet with retro inspiration? For us, less is more. It is our fundamental principle. For example, if it has ventilation, it should be functional, but discreet and integrate harmoniously with the design of the helmet”Reg explained.

And what about his immediate future?… On this question Flint simply said: “We have many new projects underway for the next two years”. What seems not to change is the almost artisanal work that Hedon has been carrying out since its inception, or at least that is what the British media claims after its interesting talk with one of the brand’s co-founders.
