The 2026 Superbike season has been the season of records and they can still be increased this weekend in Jerez. It is true that the title and the runners-up have been decided, but on the Andalusian track there is something else at stake, and that is that Bulega is going to try to put the finishing touch to an almost perfect season and meanwhile, Iker Lecuona is prepared to close the year by sending a warning to sailors.
After all, in 2027 and on his own merits, Iker Lecuona will be the main contender for the title and what better way is there to present the candidacy than with a solid project? In any case, this weekend in Jerez will be special because an era ends, that of Pirelli in the series-derived motorcycle championship and, therefore, making predictions about how everything will work in the future is complicated.
As for battles for positions, it must be recognized that the WSBK is much more determined than usual, because Montella also has third position under his arm and, in addition, the title of driver and independent team. The first position with real fight this weekend will be, curiously, between the Lowes brothers who are so equal that they are only separated by 12 points in favor of Alex. Of course, Baldassarri could spoil their party since he is 11 behind Sam and, therefore, 23 behind Alex.
Even so, much of the expectation of the weekend will be placed on Álvaro Bautista. After his great performance in Estoril, which unfortunately ended in a crash when he was close to the podium, he faces his last race with Ducati. For now we do not know if it will be the Talavera native’s last weekend in the championship, but it will mark the end of an era for what has been the best Spanish driver in WSBK.
Details of the Jerez Circuit – Ángel Nieto

After going through a classic like Estoril, the championship lands in another historic setting like Jerez. There is little left to say about one of the most recognizable circuits of recent decades, a layout that has been adapting in terms of safety although, due to its own characteristics, it cannot be compared in that aspect with the most modern facilities. Where it continues to maintain all its appeal is on the track, because its combination of curves and braking continues to be a true delight.
The clearest options for overtaking appear in turns 1, 2, 6 and 13, although there are also much more committed alternatives in points such as turn 9. Even turn 5 can offer some opportunity when it is time to risk practically everything, although doing so with large bikes is especially difficult.
Where to see Superbike Jerez 2026

Having a round of the championship at home means that the best option to enjoy everything that happens on and off the track is to go directly to the circuit. But if it is not possible to “go down to Jerez”, there are several alternatives to continue the weekend and some of them are completely free.
The simplest and most complete option is once again DAZN, where all you have to do is create an account to access the entire broadcast without having to sign up for a subscription. The platform will offer live free practice sessions, classifications and races.
It can also be followed for free through Teledeporte, both on its television channel and through RTVE Play, allowing you to watch the championship from practically any device.
Among the payment options, Eurosport will offer the World Cup through Eurosport 1 and 2, in addition to including it in MAX. For its part, the official WSBK Videopass continues to be the most complete alternative for those who want to access all sessions and additional content.
