After the Superbike Factory sit-in, the movement begins

The surprise closure of Superbike Factory has not only meant the disappearance of the business as such. It has left a really complex situation for clients, workers and creditors, who are trying to know exactly what is happening. Things have not changed much since the British dealership entered bankruptcy on July 20 and ceased its activity, but there is beginning to be some movement on the part of those affected.

And about three weeks later and without further public information, some of those affected have begun to organize through online groups. Reddit and WhatsApp have become two meeting points to share information, resolve practical doubts and share situations that, although they arise from the same closure, do not affect everyone in the same way.

The WhatsApp group is directly presented as a space for “clients and involved personnel”, and the idea is that in that same place those people who are affected by the situation can meet and be in contact, while the bankruptcy administrators do their work. There are different profiles in it, from those who had bought the motorcycle and had not picked it up to those who had taken their motorcycle for inspection, those who had left theirs in storage to be sold, and even employees.

Some users took their motorcycles for inspection and now they cannot pick them up

And the general situation left by the closure of the Superbike Factory is quite complex as far as those affected are concerned, because having paid for a motorcycle that has not been delivered to you is not the same as having yours retained because they were going to inspect it, appraise it or sell it and they are inside the facilities, or those who had a guarantee pending, those who have a loan, or the workers themselves.

The closure of Superbike Factory has left many loose ends

The bankruptcy administration came after a notice of intention to appoint administrators was filed on July 17. Three days later, the formal process began and both Superbike Factory Group Limited and Superbike Factory Limited ceased operations.

There is also, according to Visordown, a community on Reddit where an advice forum has been opened. A group that has also been growing and that serves, like WhatsApp, to gather informal information while waiting for official news.

The situation is complex for many users who have been affected differently

Logically, these groups do not have any legal value nor do they offer clear answers, but it does give an idea of the magnitude and number of those affected by the Superbike Factory’s cessation of activity. Unfortunately, the future of this entire situation and each case will need time to be resolved since there are other companies involved. Although in the meantime, at least those affected will not feel like they are alone.
