Aldeguer shines while the rest shipwrecked on the banks of the Indian

The script we expected for the 2025 Indonesian GP has not only been fulfilled, it has been totally unpredictable. A GP in which Marc Márquez arrived without pressure and in which a great performance was expected, but that ended the champion in the hospital. Although before anticipating events, we must not ignore two important factors: Mandalika is a track without activity, therefore, dirtier than usual, and Michelin opted for a somewhat more rigid housing. The combination has been a headache for some and the great opportunity of others.

Speed, in general, for all Ducati pilots, except Aldeguer, and an opportunity, in addition to Aldeguer, for Marco Bezzecchi and his RS-GP April, who dominated the training and was done with the pole.

Bezzecchi ruined Aldeguer’s party at the Sprint

The lesson that Fermín Aldeguer had to force the Saturday should not have been pleasant and, of course, it was not fair, but clear: there is no victory until the finish line, although the entire race leads. And it is that the Murcian went better than anyone, he put himself in front and began to impose his rhythm. While Bezzecchi had to go back after not being able to take advantage of the pole and in turn Marc Márquez played Álex Rins, burying the options of an Alex that has been competitive all weekend, and those of his own when he was sanctioned by the action.

So Aldeguer had as priori rivals Pedro Acosta and Raúl Fernández. The two tried to follow the rhythm of the Ducati pilot, but Acosta ended up going to the ground, while Fernández consolidated his position before the Bezzecchi cyclone, who won posts until he reached his wake and overcome it. Even so, the best thing for Marco was about to arrive and also the worst feeling for Aldeguer and it is that after cutting, in the last lap, when there were only a few curves, Bezzecchi surpassed Aldeguer to win the race. The Murcian was second and Raúl Fernández, brilliant, third.

Álex Márquez, minimizing damage, managed to cross the fourth goal ahead of the HRC duo with Mir Quinto and Marini Sixth. Márquez, after the sanction, reached the seventh place with Morbidelli, Di Giannantonio and Oliveira, completing the ten positions that give points in the Sprint.

Aldeguer leaves Indonesia with his first triumph, Marc with an injury

With the lesson learned from Saturday, Aldeguer had in mind how to do to achieve triumph, but Pedro Acosta also in a race dominated by Murcian pilots. Acosta was the first to take command, with Luca Marini enduring at the beginning to her wake and Aldeguer waiting for the moment.

For six spectacular turns Acosta he was in front, but from the seventh round it was Fermín who put himself in front to impose his rhythm and, on this occasion, not to leave the first position until crossing the finish line. A great result for a pilot who is in his first season, but has already made clear his potential and has dissipated all doubts why he deserved to be on MotoGP and with a Ducati.

Acosta had to fight and “chop stone” to achieve the second position and that is that a fantastic àlex Rins showed that he is still hungry and quality to fight with the best to the minimum that the opportunity is presented. Unfortunately for Álex, he opted for a soft tire that did not endure the entire race and in the last laps, after fighting for the podium, he fell to lead in the classification.

It was not the case of Acosta that although it did not get the victory, it added a valuable second place ahead of an Álex Márquez that is stronger in the classification as second classified and that already caresses the runner -up after the new disastrous weekend of Bagnaia and the zero of Bezzecchi’s Sunday.

On Bezzecchi and before continuing to analyze the rest, the Italian did not measure the overtaking to Marc Márquez in the first round and both ended up suffering a fall, which in the case of Marc was quite fast. Everything was going well until Marc entered the gravel bed that, as can be seen in the videos, was not at the same level as the escape of the asphalt, a defect that shows the system of homologation of the championship once again.

As a consequence, the champion began to give somersaults and suffering an injury in the right clavicle in which, at least, there is confirmed ligament break and the bone could also be affected. A bad way to finish both over the weekend, even worse in the case of a Marc that could have said goodbye to the rest of the season.

Returning to the rest of the race, after many weekends without highlighting in excess, Brad Binder was able to reach the fourth fair position ahead of a Marini that confirms that Honda’s footsteps are being in the right direction. Finishing a solid weekend, Raúl Fernández was sixth, with Fabio Quartararo seventh and, again, with the two pilots of the VR46 Morbidelli and Di Giannantonio together in the eighth and ninth place. Rins, after his great role, ended in a little deserved tenth place.

After the race in Indonesia MotoGP already looks at Australia with a Marc that will not be expected, a Bagnaia that is lost by the runner -up and does not finish finding solutions, a bezzecchi to which only precipitation has prevented him from getting more revenue to his potential, and an Álex Márquez who seeks to ensure the runner -up. Of course, for that it will have to wait two weeks.
