It is not the first time that the French subsidiary of the bmw stands out with proposals of this type. Last year it already happened with the Dark Editions of the F 900 GS and R 1300GSalso limited to France and which we talked to you about at length…, now, as we are telling you, BMW Motorrad France has decided to repeat the formula focusing on the range F900 and reinforcing its aesthetic link with the most sporting universe of the German house.
On this occasion, the inspiration comes directly from the automobile division BMW M. The F 900 R debuts a new Frozen Gray paint scheme, while the F 900 XR Goes for a striking Green Aurelius body. Both colors replicate the tones used in the M models, providing a more exclusive and sophisticated image to two motorcycles that already stand out for their balance between performance and daily usability.
According to one’s own BMW Motorrad Francethe Aurelius Green color applied on the F 900 XR is especially significant, as it is a paint scheme that is normally reserved for the M 1000 XR. A detail that reinforces the special character of this edition and visually brings it closer to the most performance models in the range.
This is how these BMW F 900 R and F 900 XR have arrived
The 2 special editions were exhibited at the Lyon Two Wheels Show, which was held from February 26 to March 1. Regarding prices, the F 900 R has a price set at 9,500 euroswhile the F 900 XR rises to 12,200 euros. Be careful, always within the French market.
On a mechanical level there are no changes, since both maintain the well-known 895 cc parallel twin engine, with a maximum power of 103 hp at 8,500 rpm and a torque of 93 Nm at 6,750 rpm. A well-proven engine that offers a good balance between sports performance and ease of use.
In addition to the new exterior finish, BMW Motorrad France offers specific optional equipment to accompany these special editions. In the case of the F 900 Ryou can add a tinted screen, a seat cover and an engine cover to match Frozen Gray. The F 900 XRFor its part, it can also be equipped with a tinted windshield and an engine cover in Aurelius Green, further strengthening its image.
As we are accustomed to, BMW Motorrad France demonstrates its ability to create exclusive products with a strong visual appeal, although, for the moment, reserved only for its local market. A shame, that’s for sure.
