Bulega reappears and continues to raise the bet with Toprak

The second test day in Misano has been another sample than we have been watching since the season started. Bulega, that the first day did not go on track, it was the one who ended the day at the top of the table and “marking the ground.” We must not forget that Toprak had been the fastest and most remarkable way, so the Italian climbed the bet in the final bars of the day.

In the end, only forty thousandths, an unapprecable difference to the human eye, is what separated the two top exponents of the WSBK. And it is that both Nicolo and Toprak rolled below the official record of the track and separated from the rest of the pilots in more than six tenths.

That third pilot was Axel Bassani, who again with the Bimota KB998 Rimini has completed a positive test that he can draw conclusions within what fits. And we already know that the tests are tests and the rapid return times can respond to strategies in which some keep and others teach more than they have. In any case, Bassani Bimota has been up for two days.

Sam Lowes and Remy Gardner also confirmed their sensations with the fourth place of the Ducati pilot and the fifth of Yamaha. Yari Montera, who is not having an easy campaign, could finish sixth ahead of Iker Lecuona. Jonathan Rea, eighth, was the last of the pilots to end less than a second of the reference time, but that implies that Bassani’s equality was maximum with less than three tenths. Raising the bet more, we must not overlook that Petrucci and Locatelli who completed the top10 remained slightly above those three tenths.

Now, after this test in the middle of the season and on the same track where everyone will face face to face in a matter of days, we can say that luck is thrown and that if nothing changes, from June 13 to 15 we will see a battle for the victory between Bulega and Razgatlioglu and another by the last step of the podium among the rest.
