The new ones Can-Am Origin and Pulse are starting their commercial journey these days. The brand opens the reservation period with a price of 17,799 and 17,199 euros, respectively, starting production of both models in the last months of this year and delivering the first units at the beginning of next year 2025.
Can-Am offers its customers two motorcycles developed under different criteria, but which share a similar philosophy, focused on simplicity and a high degree of versatility. While the Origin is positioned as an adventure model, the Pulse falls within the plug-in naked category.
Can-Am Origin and Pulse 2025 in detail
Both share the Rotax E-Power electric motor (11 kW or 35 kW) and a battery of 8.9 kWh capacitywhich gives it a maximum range of 160 km for the Pulse and around 145 km for the Origin model. The former claims a 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, while the Offroad variant requires 4.3 seconds to reach the same speed from a standstill.
Both models feature the Active ReGen system, which offers improved control and smooth deceleration while returning more power to the battery. They also have a reverse function, as well as different driving modes: 4 on the Pulse (Normal, Sport+, ECO and Rain) and up to 5 options on the Origin (Normal, Sport, ECO, Rain and Off-Road+).
Regarding the charging of its batteries, the brand states that up to 80% of its capacity can be reached in just 50 minutes using a level 2 charger. 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete a full recharge using the same device.
In terms of the chassis, both models are fitted with an inverted front fork by KYB, while at the rear we find a monoshock, although in this case from a different manufacturer on both models. On the Origin this is also the work of KYB, while on the naked model they turn to the Germans from Sachs.
The braking system is the same on both bikes, with a J. Juan double-piston caliper and a 320 mm disc at the front, and a J. Juan single-piston caliper and a 240 mm disc at the rear. This is not the case with the wheels and tyres, where the adventure model uses radial rims fitted with Dunlop tyres in sizes 90/90 R21 and 120/80 R18, front and rear respectively.
The Can-AM Pulse, on the other hand, features 17” wheels with Dunlop Sportmax GPR-300 110/70 R17 tires on the front axle and 150/60 R17 on the rear. They also differ in their declared unladen weight, with 186 kilograms for the ADV model and 176 kilos for the roadster version. All of this is wrapped up in a complete set of equipment, including:
- 10.25-inch TFT screen compatible with Apple CarPlay.
- ABS
- Traction control
- 20+ LinQ Nano compatible accessories (optional)
- Glove box with USB port, etc.
In addition, in both cases the brand also offers us a special version called “’73”. Thus, the new Can-Am electric range currently has two models and four variants to choose from:
