Cfmoto 675 SR-R (88 hp, € 7,790) is a motorcycle aimed at learning the secrets of sports driving. For this, brakes and quality suspensions are important, which allow the limits in sports driving, but above all, on the track.
But there is also the circumstance of the veteran fan, already back of everything, that what he wants is simplicity of use: reach the circuit and roll, without worrying with complex settings and configurations, just shoot and enjoy.
For these fans and a risk that the power on paper may seem scarce (later I will explain it), the 675 SR-R cfmoto will be a real revelation.

The Supersport segment is attending its resurrection after years Aciagos, in which a few residual models kept the flame on. Initially, for a price of € 7,790 you cannot expect exotic materials in the components of the 675SR-R, but I assure you that the quality of assembly and their appearance is well above the minimum enforceable. The chassis is made of steel, but its termination gives very good feelings.
That it is made of steel does not mean that it is a heavy motorcycle (it weighs 189 kg in the gear order), because the engine is also part of it. The curved double arm swinging is aluminum and leaves the wheelbase in just 1,400 mm, which contributes to the agility that I could detect on the portimao track.

The heart of the matter is a 675 cm3 refrigerated by water dohc, an engine that also shares (also the dimensions) with its sister, the Naked Cfmoto 675 NK. The power figure is not spectacular (88 hp to 11,000), but the maximum torque, 68 Nm at 8,250 rpm, which guarantees thrust and emotions on the track is good.
Electronics is present, but briefly. It complies with the minimum: ABS and traction control (disconnectable). It does not have driving modes, but I find an advantage, given the orientation of the motorcycle, which is nothing but learning and enjoyment. In the 675 SR-R you will learn to move on the motorcycle, to trace well and rush the braking with a set at the task.
Although the engine figures do not overwhelm, underway it is exciting for sound, more noticeable above the motorcycle than for those who see it pass. I ignore how he does it, but I remember seeing the target line to the journalists who rolled in the first group and think about the discreet escape.
When climbing the motorcycle, the sensation is the opposite: between admission, change and escape, getting out of gears is addictive. Also because of the quickshifter change, well adjusted. The CST series tires assumed another great surprise, in the best sense of the term. Grip, stability and agility are excellent dry, in the absence of knowing how long they will last giving those sensations, in any case, very welcome.

All lighting is full LED and digital instrumentation. The 5 -inch TFT screen informs of everything desirable, including a chronomethast, activable from the left pineapple, which I could even go underway.

The seat is 810 mm, an issue that doesn’t matter much on track, but if you circulate by road. With my 178 cm, it does not imply a problem, but it is not easy to maneuver in a rise to the motorcycle, taking into account that the semimaners are in a sports position. It is not a comfortable motorcycle to make long runs; The position to his controls is tolerable off -track, but magnificent inside her.

Eye, it is enough power to roll very fast (230 km/h I saw on the score at the end of the line), but it makes no sense to pay “for the most powerful” if you do not dominate the essential minimums before, for which a good one is necessary hardware. Therefore, Cfmoto 675 SR-R makes sense for those who are back and do not need to roll “On fire”but they do want a cycle part good enough to enjoy on track with all guarantees.

I am sure that if I had shot for the first time in Portimao in a 200 hp superbike, it would have taken longer to learn the layout, for the simple fact that, with such power and without sites to rest throughout the batch, I would have accumulated work, tension and fatigue.
With Cfmoto 675 SR-R I not only learned the layout quickly, but I enjoyed a puddle. After the three batches, I felt no tiredness and had fun as I had long. Last summer, I rolled for the first time in the Misano circuit on a Panigale V4. I am not going to tell you that I did not enjoy, but it emptied me with energy in just a batch of 20 minutes.
With Cfmoto 675 SR-R, I have not thought at any time that I lacked power in this or that place, but how to improve my time for the next turn, delaying the reference in the braking, trying to improve the passage through curve, improving my paths.
I have been able to do all that because I had a support that allowed me to do it and concentrate on what is necessary. I was not above my possibilities and I have progressively approached the limits. For Cfmoto 675 SR-R, it has meant the real cotton test. I hope it helps more people approach the circuits to roll.
