Charley Boorman presents “Bigger… Better… Faster”, his new documentary about the North West 200

Charley Boorman He is an old acquaintance in the world of adventurers who travel the world on the back of a motorcycle. Inseparable companion of Ewan McGregor in many of their joint projects, he now returns alone with the new documentary of his authorship “Bigger…Better…Faster”a film about the famous North West 200.

Bigger… Better… Faster is presented as a film that attempts to delve deeper into the exciting history and spectacle that is generated during the North West 200 races in Northern Ireland. The film has been created in collaboration with Zerofit and directed by the filmmaker Luke Whatley-Biggand offers us a clear perspective on one of the most legendary motorsport events held on our continent.

When asked about this premiere, Boorman commented: “I’m a big race fan, but this will be my first trip to the Northwest, so it’s going to be an incredible trip. The guys at Zerofit are incredibly passionate about the event, and when we talked more about it, I thought it would make a great documentary. I’ll be sitting down with Glenn to reflect on his immense success at the event, and I’ll also talk to his family about his decision to return this year.”

Boorman inaugurated the NW200 2026 in May

Last May, Boorman was one of the featured guests at this year’s Briggs Equipment North West 200 race week. He also delighted spectators with an exhibition lap around the emblematic 14.3 kilometer triangular circuit alongside Glenn Irwinthe most successful Superbike rider in the history of the event. During the event he commented while the documentary was being recorded:

“The history of the NW200 is something that really appealed to me, and I’m looking forward to visiting the beautiful Dunlop Memorial Gardens and learning more about the race and how it has evolved over the years to become the major global sporting event it is today.”

In “Bigger… Better… Faster”, Charley takes the opportunity to interview Alastair Seeley, Peter Hickman and Dean Harrisonas well as meeting the fans, staff and sponsors who make the event truly magical. The documentary highlights the magnificence of the North West 200 and explores the history behind one of Northern Ireland’s greatest sporting treasures.

“Bigger… Better… Faster” will premiere in November

In less than two months “Bigger… Better… Faster” will be released during the celebration of the Motorcycle Live 2026. Recently, in relation to the documentary and his presence at the event, Boorman commented: “It was a real pleasure to be invited to MCL this year, and I’m looking forward to seeing all the amazing new machines, innovations and features at one of my favorite events”

He concluded by stating: “There’s no better place to see everything we live for as motorcyclists, and as a former racing team owner in the late ’90s, I’m especially excited to see the BSB Celebration.”. Motorcycle Live 2026 is scheduled to take place from 21 to 29 November at the NEC in Birmingham.

The organization of the event has already confirmed the presence of at least 48 motorcycle brands, as well as different exhibitions, attractions and activities.
