Electricity has made history in the latest edition of Rider 1000, the emblematic motorcyclist appointment that leads the participants to travel with their motorcycles 1,000 kilometers in one day. Three participants completed the Rider 300modality where the route is 300 kilometers, at the handlebar of its Motorcycles Zero, demonstrating that electric mobility also has your site in this type of test.
Miguel Ángel and Peter, arrived from Madrid with their Zero S, and Víctor, from Sant Cugat del Vallès with his Zero SR/s, joined to face this adventure on two wheels together. The itinerary of Rider 300, with departure and arrival in Manlleu, linked places like Coll d’Ares, Puigcerdà, France, crossing the majestic landscapes of the Eastern Pyrenees and the Catalan garrotxa. But as Miguel Ángel points out: “Once in Manlleu, on Saturday we met with Victor and his SR/s, we took our Zero S 2018 and we started the route around 12:00 (we literally went the last to leave), we were around 95% load when we left.”
“We gave a lot of turns through Manlleu until we were able to understand ourselves with the indications of the GPS and some works that cut the road, despite the laps the battery came without problems to reach the first control point in Col D’Ares, the least battery had of us three would be around 30%, so the climb up there became perfect and without dramas.”
