Citroën is looking for its place in the market with new proposals and that includes, obviously, SUVs. After presenting the C3 Aircross, at the Paris Motor Show he unveiled the Citroen C5 Aircross Concepta preview of the brand’s next compact SUV, which seeks to remain accessible and practical for families.
This prototype (and the future model) is manufactured on the Stellantis STLA Medium platform, like the Peugeot 3008. This leaves us with the possibility of having electric, hybrid or combustion propulsion systems and it will be the first Citroën model to use it.
The C5 Aircross Concept employs the brand’s new design language. This implies a new lighting signature, with three parts, flanking a new, more minimalist grille, where the new brand logo is not missing. There are also renewed bumpers.
In view of this prototype, everything seems to indicate that the future C5 Aircross will be longer, since the concept car measures 4.65 meters long15 cm more than the current C5 Aircross 2022. The concept rises 1.66 meters from the ground, dimensions that “guarantee a spacious and comfortable interior space,” according to the firm. It is seen on the side, with a more fluid design to improve aerodynamics, with details such as the slit in the front doors or color details on the doors and the front.
At the rear, the black stripe on the tailgate stands out, at the ends of which is the Citroen Light Wingwith two separate points of light that seem to float and that will hardly reach the production model.
No images of the interior have been shown, but the brand advertises it as a wellness space, inspired by a living room, where occupants can relax and enjoy the trip in total serenity.
