A few weeks ago we told you that Charles Leclerc had decided to part with the personalized Vitpilen 701 Husqvarna that he had given himself long ago, and that Bad Winners They had manufactured laboriously and with a lot of carbon fiber. Well, now the tour has reached the end because the motorcycle already has a new owner.
The motorcycle was completely transformed with body fiber, Dymag tires and a lightening work that reduced its weight in almost 30 kilos. “Under the surface,” the set was completed with improvements in the escape, electronics and admission, while the driving position received semimajaries Renthal, TFT instrumentation and a custom leather seat. Every detail reinforces the idea of artisanal work linked to the precision that characterizes the world of F1.
In addition to its technical specifications, this Husqvarna has an added element that multiplies its appeal: it was expressly manufactured for Leclerc and opened the Apex 2.0 series of Bad Winners. After reconditioned with new carbon pieces and reviewed in 2024, the motorcycle was auction at Collecting Cars, where it reached 17,000 euros.
Leclerc vitpilen is much more rational than other F1 pilot motorcycles
On this occasion we do not talk about exorbitant figures either in the mechanical or, either, at the time of sale. And it is that unlike other superbikes such as the ones we have seen, for example, in the hands of Leclerc’s partner in Ferrari, Lewis Hamilton (who arrived with a Panigale to Icola last weekend), Vitpilen 701 is a much more moderate motorcycle.
Of course, it does not mean that the motorcycle is a practically collector’s piece, not only for the fact of having belonged to an F1 pilot and the winner of several GP, but for the preparation it has.
For many Leclerc was one of the great talents of the new generation, and who knows if one day Ferrari ends up giving on the key, or Monegasco leaves to another team and ends with a title under the arm. In that case, 17,000 euros will have been a good investment.
