At the International Bike Festival, Ducati has presented its new range of bicycles, developed in collaboration with the Zecchetto Groupand which will begin to be marketed for the next season. This includes road, gravel and E-MTB models. A collection that marks a new chapter for the Borgo Panigale-based manufacturer in the world of high performance bikesdesigned to offer an exciting and authentic driving experience.
High-performance bicycles “Made in Italy”
The new range of Ducati high-performance bicycles is manufactured taking advantage of the industrial and technological experience of Diamant, which already collaborates with the Borgo Panigale manufacturer in the production of carbon fiber components. Diamant is part of the Zecchetto Group, a leading company in the cycling sector with the DMT and Alè Cycling brands.
The project had the fundamental contribution of prominent athletes and professionals from the world of international cycling. Elia Viviani, Vincenzo Nibali, Alessandro Petacchi and Mattia Viel participated in the testing and validation of the road and gravel models, while Lorenzo Suding collaborated in the development of the range of electric mountain bikes (E-MTB) as a tester.
Viviani, Nibali, Petacchi, Viel and Suding presented the three high-performance bicycles at a press event held on the Riviera terrace of the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, within the framework of the International Bicycle Festival. The event was also attended by Claudio Domenicali and Philippe Zecchetto, CEOs of Ducati and the Zecchetto Group, respectively.
They were joined by the nine-time motocross world champion Antonio Cairolidriver and test rider for the Borgo Panigale-based manufacturer, who regularly trains with Ducati e-bikes. The Ducati 2027 range is made up of the Monoscoccathe GraviaX and the two versions of the e-Enduro platform, the DM-160 R and the DM-170 RR.
The Monoscocca and GraviaX are available as complete bikes – with two different configurations for the Monoscocca – and also as frame sets for those who want to customize the components separately. All Ducati performance bikes are available in a wide range of color combinations.
Ducati Monoscocca in detail
The Ducati Monoscocca It has a carbon fiber monocoque chassis, manufactured entirely by Gruppo Zecchetto by lamination in a single mold. This has been designed to optimize the weight-stiffness ratio, ensuring immediate power transmission, precision and responsiveness during acceleration.
Special attention has been paid to aerodynamics. The frame shape is the result of extensive fluid dynamics analysis aimed at optimizing airflow and reducing turbulence under real-world conditions of use. The truncated tail profiles and high level of component integration contribute to improved aerodynamic efficiency, while maintaining high levels of rigidity, stability and control.
The stack-to-reach ratio of 1.42 in size M creates a sporty, performance-oriented riding position that remains comfortable even over long distances. The front end, with a steering angle of 72.3° and a trail of 59 mm, ensures stability at high speeds and precision when cornering, while wheel clearance of up to 32 mm improves comfort and versatility.
The result is a modern racing bike capable of offering high performance without the extremes typical of models developed exclusively for competition. The range is available in five sizes (XS, S, M, L and XL) in the Monoscocca R Monoscocca RR versions, as well as in a frame kit for those who wish to build a custom configuration.
The Monoscocca R is equipped with a Shimano Ultegra Di2 groupset, Vision SC 45 wheels and a Vision Metron 5D SMR handlebar. The RR version, for its part, has a Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 groupset, Vision Metron 45 RS wheels and a Vision Metron ACR 5D EVO handlebar, with a declared weight of 7.18 kg in size M without pedals.
Ducati GraviaX
Along with the Monoscocca, this range of high-performance bicycles features the Ducati GraviaXa model designed to combine speed, stability and versatility. Built around a carbon monocoque frame manufactured entirely by Gruppo Zecchetto, the GraviaX reinterprets the gravel bike segment through a competition-oriented philosophy, but without being extreme, prioritizing the balance between performance, comfort and control over long distances.
The result is a bike capable of performing perfectly both on asphalt and on the most demanding gravel trails. The stack-to-reach ratio of 1.46 in size M ensures an efficient riding position without being overly aggressive, while the balanced rider position improves control and safety on all types of terrain. The more forward seat tube axle allows for ample tire clearance while maintaining a compact 427mm rear triangle.
Special attention has been paid to driving stability. The front end, with a head angle of 71° and a trail of 64 mm, guarantees precision and safety at high speeds and on rough terrain, while the fork – with a specific camber angle for the two largest sizes – maintains a dynamic, consistent and balanced ride in all sizes.
Versatility is one of the defining characteristics of the GraviaX. The frame accepts tires up to 50 mm wide (45 mm in double chainring configurations), allowing the bike to be adapted to different riding conditions. An optional seatpost with an 18mm rear offset is also available for those who prefer a more relaxed riding position on long rides.
Designed to also suit bikepacking and multi-day adventures, the GraviaX features a tool holder integrated into the down tube and dedicated attachment points for bags and accessories. The frame is also compatible with the main shifting groups on the market, including non-electromechanical ones, offering maximum configuration freedom.
The model is available as a frame and in the full GraviaX R version; Both options are offered in five sizes (XS, S, M, L and XL). The GraviaX R is equipped with a SRAM Force XPLR AXS groupset, Ducati G-Line carbon fiber wheels with a 42 mm rim profile and a 25 mm internal channel, a Ducati G-Line carbon handlebar with integrated cable routing and a 6° camber, Continental Terra 700×45 tires and a Novus Boost Evo saddle. The declared weight of the bike is 8.2 kg in size M, not including the pedals.
Ducati DM-160 R and DM-170 RR
The range of high performance bicycles Ducati DM-160 R and DM-170 RR It is designed to offer exceptional performance on the most demanding trails, combining efficiency on climbs with stability on descents. Central to the design is a new carbon fiber frame that maximizes efficiency and control. The suspension kinematics have been designed to ensure balanced behavior on the most technical terrain, while the clean, minimalist design contributes to creating a modern, efficient and high-performance bike.
Its new Avinox M2S engine stands out, which offers a maximum power of 1,300 W and a torque of 130 Nmwhich increases to 150 Nm in Boost mode. High precision sensors, self-adaptive assistance modes, integrated GPS, a eSIM and an 800 Wh battery They complete a model designed to offer benchmark performance and a highly connected driving experience.
One of the distinctive features of the project is the possibility of customizing the dynamic behavior of the bicycle. All Ducati performance bike models allow riders to adjust – using three dedicated switches – the suspension progression, frame geometry and wheel size, allowing them to adapt the bike to their own preferences and the characteristics of the terrain.
From this technical base arise two complementary interpretations of e-enduro, which share the same technical base but are characterized by different personalities. The DM-160 R, configured according to the “Performance Trail” concept, prioritizes stability at high speeds, traction on climbs and the ability to avoid obstacles with maximum efficiency.
It rides on a full set of 29″ wheels and is equipped with a 160mm RockShox Zeb Select fork with 38mm stanchions, a 205 x 60mm RockShox Super Deluxe Select+ rear shock, a SRAM Eagle 90 T-Type drivetrain, and Maven Base brakes. The DM-170 RR, developed according to the “Enduro Gravity” concept, offers a suspension with greater shock absorption, a more agile and intuitive ride and a feeling of greater security on jumps and on the steepest sections.
It features a “mullet” wheel setup, with a 29′ front wheel and a 27.5′ rear wheel, and is equipped with a 170mm Öhlins RXF38 M.3 Air fork with 38mm stanchions, a 205 x 65mm Öhlins TTX Air rear shock, a SRAM GX Eagle AXS drivetrain, Maven Bronze brakes, and an FSA Gradient Carbon handlebar.
Both models are equipped with FSA NS i30 Gradient wheels and a Prologo Proxim Custom saddle. The range is available in three sizes (S1, S2 and S3), with a declared weight of 22.8 kg for the DM-170 RR and 23.4 kg for the DM-160 R, both in size S2 without pedals. Two different personalities, born from the same platform, that allow each rider to choose their own way of experiencing enduro.
