The supercross are impossible leaps, action to the limit and noise, a lot of noise thunders the stadiums. But from now on there will be some more silence because the new Geneva agreement includes the first electric motorcycle in history in the competition. It will be the Stark Future Stark Varg and will fight hand in hand with the motorcycle of teams enshrined in the championship that will continue with their gasoline motorcycles.
An important change because it is about face to face the two technologies in one of the few categories in which by the characteristics of both there can be greater equality. Beyond a crazy occurrence, this decision can mark the path in the Off Road and, especially, in competitions in which the duration of the races is not excessively long.
The aforementioned Geneva agreement is a multiannual pact of two years that unites the championship and all the teams, guaranteeing the economic viability of the event and the teams, seeking, at the same time, a show that is profitable, intense and stable. Hence, investigating new roads is something totally reasonable.
Stark Future will become the seventh member of the grill and share it with renowned equipment within the championship: Pipes Motorsports Group, Quad Lock Honda, Motoconcepts Racing, Venum Bud Racing Kawasaki, Rick Ware Racing and GSM Yamaha.
The 2025 Supercross World Cup will have 5 appointments
It must be remembered that for a long time the Supercross World Cup is totally disconnected from the AMA and is made up of only five appointments for the 2025 season that will start in Malaysia to visit Argentina, Canada and Australia before finishing in South Africa in mid -December. Of course, pilots like Eli Tomac or Ken Roczen have taken part in recent years in it.
During the last two years, Stark Future has worked closely with the FIM (International Motorcycle Federation) to ensure a balance in performance against combustion motorcycles, as well as compliance with safety standards for the STARK VARG, its revolutionary electric motorcycle. With 36 on -board sensors that offer real -time data and total transparency to officers, the team has committed to parity and fair competition.
Anton Wass, founder and CEO of Stark Future, said: “This is the beginning of a new chapter and a great milestone for the future of the supercross as a sport. Working with Kurt and his team has shown that World Supercross is completely committed to breaking barriers and creating a platform where we can demonstrate that electrical technology deserves to be on the same scenario as the combustion engines. We come to compete at the highest level – we know that we are fast from the exit, so it will be an exciting challenge. Against the best teams and pilots that this sport can offer. ”
Having been one of the main courage behind this innovation and after working closely with the Stark Future team in recent months, Kurt Nicoll, vice president of Competition Development of World Supercross, said: “The Stark Future entrance represents an important milestone not only for World Supercross, but for the entire Supercross. For the first time in our championship, fans will see competence with electric and combustion motorcycles on equal terms at the highest level. It provides a new layer of interest that will further raise our careers.”
