The new range of kawasaki models will include a Z1100 new bill in just a few months. Like the brand it has already announced the novelty Ninja 1100 SX and Versys 1100 2025, It is hoped to do the same with a similar variant of its well-known maxi-naked. In fact, at the end of last May we knew the most relevant aspects of the model and its official presentation is expected for the next EICMA 2025.
Kawasaki Z1100 2026: Also in retro version
Now, thanks to Motorrad Online, we have known the registration by Kawa before the US authorities, of the acronym ZRT10 GT. If we are guided by the recent history of homologations undertaken by the Japanese firm, this internal code nomenclature refers to a retro -looking Naked variant, which makes us think that we could be facing the first details in relation to a new z1100 rs of new invoice.
Observing the idiosyncrasy of the brand, with models of this type, we can verify how since the early 90s it has made use of this code to record motorcycles as iconic as the Zephyr 1100 (1992-1998) and ZRX 1100 (1998-2000) ranges. These were internally associated as ZRT10 A, B and C. models later, with the launch of the Kawasaki ZRX 1200, the ZRT 20 A and B codes arrived as hallmarks when approved.
From here there are few details that could involve the design of a Z1100 rs. While the main technical architecture would be well defined, it would be to be seen, for example, if this retro variant of the Japanese maxi-naked would use a front fairing as it happened with the Z900 rs. It is also the possibility that, as in the latter, the brand offers two equipment versions in which it includes this element specifically in one of them.
In the mechanical section, it is expected to have the four -cylinder propeller and 1,099 cc Already seen in the models that are already sold under the acronym 1100. In terms of final power, it could enjoy a figure similar to that of the standard version, with 136 CV declared and 113 nm of maximum torque. Likewise, it is not very clear if it would also use the same cycle part as its range sisters or would have distinctive elements with which to exalt that retro image sought.
This translates into a bubular aluminum tubular chassis, 41 mm inverted fork and a posterior damping in horizontal position. Also a braking equipment composed of triple disc and 4 -pistoning pistons and radial assembly monoloque tweezers and radial assembly. As they point out from the German medium:
“The current 1100 series has a chassis of aluminum profiles, with a back -screwed rear of steel or aluminum, according to the model. Perhaps too modern for purists. But a new chassis of steel tubes” alone “for the Z 1100 RS would be a risky bet by Kawasaki.” We will only know these relevant aspects when the brand itself offers some type of information about the new model.
In any case, we are already in the Ecuador of this 2025 and on the horizon the Next eicma edition. This is usually the place chosen by the main world manufacturers to present their hottest novelties with which to complement its current range for the following season. So it is time to wait for Kawasaki to decide which is the plan to follow. We will be attentive to any novelty on the subject.
