Last October, some images came to light in some Asian media, which today we can confirm is the new 750SR that CFMoto has just registered. As a counterpart to this fact, it seems that this new model, equipped with a four-cylinder in-line engine, could replace the current 675 SR-R, as confirmed by the colleagues at 58 Moto.
CFMoto 750SR in detail
As we can see in these first images, we are looking at a motorcycle with a great aesthetic resemblance to the current CFMoto sports car. However, according to the homologation data, it would be equipped with a four-cylinder in-line engine with 111 HP of power, single-sided rear swingarm and a series of technical and aesthetic details that make it something different from the three-cylinder 675 SR-R.
Perhaps the arrival of this new mechanic is the most relevant information on the matter. Water cooled and with a maximum approved speed of 230km/h It reminds us of sports frames from just a few years ago that were so fashionable, such as the VFR800 or the everlasting GSX-R750, although the latter enjoyed even greater performance.
Other relevant details of the future 750SR are the aforementioned single-sided rear swingarm, although we are not sure if this will be made of steel or cast aluminum. Braking uses four-piston radial calipers at the front and, without leaving this area, it is worth highlighting the inverted fork that controls the suspension team.
Also striking is the exhaust system that emerges from the upper part of its side, with a double overlapping exit and of different lengths between each of them. Both wheels and tires are standard, following the trend of this category. 120/70 ZR 17 at the front and 180/55 ZR 17 at the rear, while the wheelbase extends to 1,419 millimeters. Perhaps the biggest drawback of the model is its dry weight, 213 kilogramsa fairly high figure for a motorcycle of this type.
The future CFMoto 750SR is likely to begin shipping in China in the middle of next year. We do not know if the brand will eliminate the current 675 SR-R from its catalog, nor when this new sports car could arrive on the European continent.
We assume that all these details will be revealed by the Asian firm itself in the early stages of next year.
