For years, Shark and MotoGP have had a commercial link that goes beyond different riders using French helmets in competition. On different occasions, it has been a sponsor of some Grand Prix and is therefore quite present within the championship.
But now this link between Shark and MotoGP is going to go one step further, because coinciding with the brand’s 35 years of history, a collaboration has been announced, through which the first official collection of MotoGP helmets will be born.
This new collection will arrive during 2026 and for now the graphics and designs that they will show are not known, but it is known that it will have five different models and two of them will have the future FIM2 homologation. The two models that will have homologation will be Aeron GP FIM#2. To these we must add the standard Aeron, which offers the same performance, although in this case without the A2S spoiler.
The agreement between Shark and MotoGP runs until 2028
The collection is completed with two new models, the Skwal Cup and the Skwal Jet Cup, which will have a more utilitarian and less sporty approach than the Aeron. In any case, this collaboration, which will start as we say in 2026 and whose models will arrive in the month of March, will initially extend until 2028.
In the announcement of the collaboration, the CEO of Dorna Sports, Carmelo Ezpeleta, said: “This official MotoGP-licensed collection is a powerful symbol of our growth. The values of MotoGP – passion, excitement, courage – can now be worn by fans on the road. Shark is a historic brand, committed to the highest safety standards. We are proud of this partnership.”
Meanwhile, Christophe Merkel, CEO of 2 Ride, Shark’s parent company, added: “It is an honor to create this licensed collection, true to the values of MotoGP and Shark. Our ambition is clear: to offer high-end, innovative helmets that meet the requirements of the highest level of motorcycle racing.”
