The new Ducati Panigale V4 2025 marks a milestone in the development of supersport motorcycles. Its design, technology and ergonomics have been completely reinvented, taking full advantage of the advantages of the evolution of tyres, aerodynamics and electronics, also thanks to the experience of Ducati Corse. The tireless search for performance, inherent in the world of competition, has significantly influenced the development of this bike. The Ducati Panigale V4 202 perfectly combines style and technology to improve performance, provoking amazement from the first glance, a feeling that is amplified when you get on thanks to the technical decisions of Ducati engineers. A true marvel of engineering.
Claudio Domenicali, presenting the bike during the Ducati World Premiere, said: “Ducati’s mission is to enrich people’s lives through technologically sophisticated motorcycles of sensual beauty. Few bikes fulfil this mission like the new Panigale V4, the seventh generation of the Ducati Superbike. A bike that continues a history of success and unforgettable models, representing the ultimate expression of our values of Style, Sophistication and Performance.”
The new Ducati Panigale V4 2025 in depth
The new Ducati Panigale V4 2025 allows its rider to experience the sensations of a professional racer, thanks to electronic and technological solutions largely derived from MotoGP. Its V4 engine with desmodromic distribution and counter-rotating crankshaft, together with even more advanced cycling and electronics, amplify the rider’s abilities, whether professional or amateur, giving them the confidence to push their riding to the limit on the track.
The 2025 Ducati Panigale V4 follows the evolutionary path forged by Ducati in MotoGP competitions, where the Desmosedici has become the most sought-after bike in the category. In 2023, seven of the eight Ducati riders won at least one race. Weighing just 187 kg, two less than the previous model, and with 0.5 HP more power despite the restrictive Euro5+ homologation, the Panigale V4 S allows riders of different abilities to improve their times by a second during tests on the Cremona circuit.
The aerodynamic design of the 2025 Ducati Panigale V4 is a turning point in the history of Ducati superbikes, moving from an approach based on an aerodynamic package applied to an already designed bike, to a perfect integration between aerodynamics and design. The new fairing reduces aerodynamic drag by 4% and protects the rider more effectively in a straight line, creating a “bubble” of air around him. The high-efficiency double-profile wings integrate perfectly into the front end, maintaining the same downforce contribution as the previous model. The position of the leading edge of the fairing set back from the front wheel improves agility in high-speed changes of direction, while the shapes of the mudguard and the duct improve the cooling system.
The Ducati Style Centre drew inspiration from the iconic Ducati 916 to design the new 2025 Ducati Panigale V4, integrating ergonomic and aerodynamic choices from the Desmosedici GP, suited to today’s track riding style. The side view of the Panigale V4 regains the balance between the front and rear axle typical of the 916, with a more horizontal configuration similar to recent MotoGP models. The distinctive line of the 916 also influenced the design of the front light cluster, highlighting the assertive look underlined by the double V-shaped DRLs, typical of Borgo Panigale sports bikes. The air intake is now single and central, hidden under the fairing, while the wider and longer tail improves habitability for the rider.

In terms of ergonomics, the riding position of the Ducati Panigale V4 2025 has been developed to maximise the rider’s integration into the bike’s aerodynamics and improve control in the crucial phases of track riding. The seat-tank assembly offers greater longitudinal freedom of movement and facilitates the fairing position, thanks to a deep recess that avoids interference with the helmet chin guard. The rear area of the tank, together with the side covers and the shape of the seat, better support the rider during braking, cornering and cornering, without limiting movement in other phases. The footpegs have been moved 10 mm inwards, increasing ground clearance and improving aerodynamic penetration.
The Desmosedici Stradale engine of the 2025 Ducati Panigale V4, more powerful and lighter than the previous model, offers unrivalled sensations to fans. This 90° V4 with desmodromic valve timing and counter-rotating crankshaft shares many technical features with the Ducati MotoGP bikes. On the new Desmosedici Stradale, the distribution diagram has been revised, with cams with a different profile and a higher lift value. The alternator and oil pump are the same as those on the Panigale V4 R, while the gearshift drum is that of the Superleggera V4. The variable-length intake trumpets have a longer stroke, with 25 mm in the short configuration and 80 mm in the long one. The Euro5+ approved engine delivers 216 hp at 13,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 12.3 kgm at 11,250 rpm. In track configuration, with the Ducati Performance by Akrapovič racing exhaust, maximum power reaches 228 hp.

The Panigale V4, always the closest supersport to a MotoGP bike, has recorded impressive times on track. At the 2022 Lenovo Race of Champions, Francesco Bagnaia set a time of 1’35”8 at Misano, just 4 seconds off the absolute MotoGP race record. To make the Panigale V4 even more competitive, Ducati Corse has adjusted the rigidity targets for the chassis and swingarm, making the most of the new slick tyres used in Superbikes.
The Front Frame has been lightened and modified in terms of rigidity, offering greater confidence in lean and efficiency on the track. The third-generation Öhlins NPX/TTX electronic suspensions have a wider range of adjustments, providing more comfortable settings on the road and more effective on the track. The new Panigale V4 is the first bike in the world to be equipped with the Brembo HypureTM front brake calipers, which are lighter and more efficient, dispersing braking heat better and offering consistent performance. The Race eCBS system developed by Bosch and Ducati allows for advanced braking strategies, replicating the techniques of professional riders.

The constant effort in electronic innovation has led to the development of Ducati’s Vehicle Observer (DVO), which simulates the inputs from over 70 sensors, refining the strategies of the electronic controls. This system, developed by Ducati Corse in MotoGP, allows for almost predictive interventions to meet the rider’s demands in search of maximum performance. The 2025 Ducati Panigale V4 is equipped with a complete package of electronic controls: Ducati Traction Control DVO, Ducati Slide Control, Ducati Wheelie Control DVO, Ducati Power Launch DVO, Engine Brake Control and Ducati Quick Shift 2.0.
The all-new 6.9” instrument panel with an 8:3 aspect ratio offers maximum readability without interfering with the rider’s vision. Featuring Optical Bonding technology, it guarantees optimal readability on a black background, even during the day. The Track display mode of the dashboard reinforces the feeling of being on a DesmosediciGP, displaying parameters such as the “g-Meter”, “Power&Torque” and “Lean angle”, among others. The Road mode is clean, with emphasis on the circular rev counter and the gear engaged, reserving the left side for additional settings and functions.

The new 2025 Ducati Panigale V4, available in single-seat configuration with optional passenger kit, will arrive in dealerships in September 2024.
