After the entry into force of the new Euro5+ regulations last January, some current models, such as the full BMW range of BMW, could definitely disappear from the offer of the respective brands that currently commercialize them. But this trend seems that we not only have to suffer in Europe. Emerging countries such as India are also updating their current environmental regulations for others of more demanding nature, such as the newly released BS6 phase 2.
Said all this, and returning to the well -known range G 310 of BMW, in the aforementioned India no longer appears in the configurator section of the Bavarian firm. Currently, in this market we can only get the RR variant that the German brand still offers for an initial price of 305,000 rupees, something like 3,280 euros.
But not even the latter complies with the current regulations of the area, so it will be deleted from the catalog, unless BMW Motorrad Equipe a new mechanics adapted to the environmental legal demands that govern the market of the two Indian wheels.
A new BMW G 310 range is possible
We do not know if the current G 310 range of BMW, which includes the GS, R and RR versions, will end up disappearing or, on the contrary, will be renewed in the coming months with a mechanic adapted to the government demands in anti -antamination.
However, knowing the collaboration agreement between BMW and TVS Motor, it is likely that the latter integrates a new updated propeller in those models that share platform with those of the German brand.
Currently, BMW’s G 310 range uses the 313 CC monocylindrical propeller released on Apache TVs. This is capable of offering a final power of 34 CV at 9700 rpm and 27.3 nm of maximum torque at 7,700 rpm. The butt is turned 180º backwards, displacing the center of gravity towards the front wheel. This allows G 310 models to be more agile, light and easy to control. For its part, thanks to the electronic accelerator (Ride by Wire), the control of the is stable at all times.
At the moment we only have to expect new news about the future of the G 310 range of BMW, although for now the brand has not spoken about it. At this time the models that are offered on their official website are announced as 2023 variants, given that since then they have not been updated.
