Some arrive and others leave. This is the conclusion we can get after knowing BMW Motorrad’s decision to finally liquidate its current range G 310, given the non -update to the recent Euro 5+.
But that nobody worries, since the German firm already prepares what will be its new offer for the A2 card, in the form of new F 450 models, the GS variant being the first that will reach international markets in the coming months.
The G 310 range in “Liquidation Process”
Currently, BMW Motorrad is mired in the task of liquidating the European stock that still has units belonging to its G 310 range. However, in other international markets, such as the Indian, the three models that make up this offer will continue to be marketed: BMW G 310 R, G 310 GS and G 310 RR. The latter, in any case, never became marketed in our continent.
Said all this, now we just have to worry about what would be coming and that is nothing other than the new batch of models for the A2 driven by a bicylindrical mechanics of 48 hp of power. Clearly we are facing a palpable evolution in every way. Little or nothing will have to do with the new BMW F 450 with what until now the Muniquesa brand offered us with its G 310 range.
As we already advanced in the first measures of this year, the new BMW F 450 GS will arrive before finishing 2025 and will be manufactured in India. If nothing changes, it will be in the next eicma edition when the German brand officially present before the public and international media. In addition, according to official reports that have leaked in recent weeks, this will be followed by future F 450 R and BMW F 450 RRthe expected Naked and Sports versions that this same platform will use.
In the technical section, BMW Motorrad is committed to a new invoice bicylindrical engine and 48 hp of power, combined with a cycle part where a light chassis stands out, with a weight of 175 kg in line with class A2, maximizing maneuverability and control. It is also expected that the F 450 GS has a front inverted fork, upper lateral output exhaust, crankcase and hand protectors or a front characterized by the “Pico Pato” style fender next to a windshield of good dimensions and totally adjustable.
All this combined with last generation electronic elements, where the double channel ABS system, with the possibility of disconnecting it to its posterior wheel, should be included among the standard endowment.
As a last note, it is confirmed that the future BMW F 450 GS will be manufactured by TVS at the same plant where it already does the same with the G 310 range, being more than likely that its departure price in the Indian market is around 500,000 rupees, about 5,520 euros to change.
