The new Honda CB250SS It was also born with a fairly clear philosophy: to offer a light, accessible motorcycle with enough personality to attract younger riders. For now it is a prototype, so Sling Some important data is still saved, but its design leaves little doubt about the path that the final model will follow.
The CB250SS Concept was presented in Chongqing under a clearly retro aesthetic. The teardrop-shaped tank, the brown welt-type seat, the round headlight protected by a grille and the mixed-pattern tires build an image reminiscent of classic scramblers, although with components typical of a modern motorcycle. Without a doubt, the smallneoretro” was quite a stellar appearance.
Also particularly striking are the two raised exhausts located on the right side, the small front deflector with red details and the white and red decoration of the tank. The whole conveys a more adventurous image than that of a conventional naked, but without being considered a true trail bike. Sling explains that the acronym H.H They refer to “style” and “Story«, a name designed to relate the motorcycle to the personalization and experiences of each owner.

CB250SS: 250 cc single-cylinder engine
One of the most interesting elements is hidden under that classic aesthetic. The CB250SS Concept uses a 250 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, although Sling It has not yet communicated the final figures for power, torque or weight.
Various sources suggest that it could be related to the four-valve DOHC single-cylinder engine used in models such as the Rebel 250 and the CRF250L. Therefore, we will still have to wait to know its final performance and know if the engine receives a specific tune-up for this new one.House of the Golden Wing Scrambler.

The CB250SS Nor is it limited to dressing up a small engine with a retro body. Sling has resorted to an inverted front fork and a rear monoshock system with links, a combination that reinforces its dynamic orientation. The chassis also seems specific for this model and presents a different configuration than the one used by the Rebel wave CRF250L. Added to this are knobby tires and lower protection that reinforce its image of scrambler.
As for equipment, information from the presentation points to circular TFT instrumentation, connectivity and ABS, although some of these elements have yet to be definitively confirmed in the production version.

CB250SS: Spring 2027, but only in China for now
Now, here is one of the important facts. Sling has confirmed that the CB250SS It will no longer be a simple design exercise and will have a production version that will hit the Chinese market in spring 2027. What we still don’t know is how much it will cost. Honda has not communicated price, power, weight, dimensions or the rest of the definitive specifications… As we have already told you.
There is also no official confirmation for now that it will be marketed in Europe. Therefore, although a 250 of this type could fit perfectly in the European market for light and retro motorcycles, any possible arrival in our market must be considered, for the moment, an unknown.
