Husqvarna and KTM, both brands included within the Austrian business group Pierer Mobility AGhave recently issued a review campaign that affects different models of their respective ranges.
Under the context of guaranteeing security, reliability and customer trust, the models indicated in said call “They must be taken to the technical service of an official dealer of the brand, for a preventive replacement of the gas tank cap gasket.”
Review campaign in detail
As stated in official statements from both KTM and Husqvarna during routine quality tests, it has been detected that some gas tank cap gaskets may not meet the quality standards of both brands. Due to deviations in the material, small cracks may occur in the gas tank cap gaskets, which may cause fuel leaks.
Owners of affected motorcycles are being personally informed by letter and are asked to immediately contact an authorized KTM or Husqvarna dealer, depending on the model they own, to arrange an appointment to have the part replaced.
In addition, customers can check online, in the “Service” section of either brand’s website, if their motorcycle is affected by this review campaign. Replacing the gas tank cap gasket is free of charge for the customer and can only be carried out at an official KTM or Husqvarna technical service.
The models that appear on the list published by KTM would be all the KTM 125, 390 and 990 Duke belonging to the year 2024. In the case of Husqvarna Mobility we would talk about the Svartpilen and Vitpilen 125 and 401 models from 2024.
