The world of wireless communication systems continues to advance technologically through new cutting-edge functionalities, such as Cardo Systems and “MeshBoost”. We are talking about an important update that will allow Packtalk users to expand group connectivity and functionality.
“Mesh Boost”: simplifying and improving group communication
From Card Systems they detail how Mesh Boost increases the capacity of the Dynamic Mesh Communication (DMC) group, enabling communication up to 31 motorcyclists and passengersthe largest group in the sector. The update also introduces two new features: Public Mesh Network and Remote Grouping.

This update is free and distributed wirelessly through the Cardo Connect app for all 2nd generation Packtalk devices. The new expanded Mesh network is also compatible with previous generations of the model. These older devices will still be able to connect to users with Mesh Boost, but they will not enjoy the new features on their own devices.
After its launch Cardo Systems commented: “We know that many users have been waiting for this update and we appreciate your patience. At Cardo, we take pride in ensuring that all new products and services we bring to market are thoroughly tested to meet the exacting standards set by the Research and Development team.”
They conclude: “During development, we made the decision to only deliver features that meet the reliability standards that users expect from Cardo, rather than hastily releasing features that were not ready.” Cardo’s Dynamic Mesh Communication (DMC) technology creates a self-healing, self-adjusting mesh network that enables seamless, full-duplex communication between multiple riders.

The network automatically adapts when riders join, leave or go out of range, maintaining a stable and clear connection without the need for manual resynchronization. With support for large groups and greater reach through relay-based connections, DMC ensures users stay effortlessly connected on the road, no matter how dynamic the route.
New features and a renewed design
The update more than doubles the number of drivers and passengers who can connect through its dynamic mesh communication (DMC) system, now expanding to include up to 31 users. The public network function allows spontaneous communication with nearby DMC users within range. Users can select the public network option in the Cardo Connect app. In the words of Dan Emodibrand marketing director:
“The goal of Mesh Boost has always been to simplify and improve group communication. While this process took longer than anticipated, we decided not to compromise on reliability. With greater group capacity, spontaneous public communication and easier setup through remote pairing, Mesh Boost reinforces our leadership in mesh network technology and builds on a decade of innovation since the launch of the first mesh network communicator for motorcycles in 2015.”

Likewise, aware that not all users start from the same starting point, the Remote Grouping Cardo allows you to create a group in advance by sharing a link generated in the Cardo Connect application. Once in range, devices automatically connect to the Dynamic Mesh network.
The latest in totally free communication
Cardo Systems announces that its new software update “MeshBoost” will be available for free via the Cardo Connect app for all compatible second-generation DMC devices, including Packtalk Pro, Edge and Neo. Additionally, the Cardo Connect app features a refreshed design and improved user experience, making it easier to navigate the new “Mesh Boost” features.
From the brand they point out: “The Mesh Boost update does not include the Harley-Davidson and Schubert SC-EDGE units. These are expected to receive their own Mesh Boost update in the fourth quarter of this year. The previously announced Private Chat+ and Cellular Intercom features are still in development and will be released later”. More information and details on the official Cardo website.
