Last February, the organization in charge of the facilities of the well -known German Nürburgring circuit issued a statement in which they warned that, from now on, motorcycles and cars will no longer be present simultaneously in the circuits. The reasons to have come to make this decision, according to the management company itself, alluded to security issues. The general director of Nürburgring, Ingo BöderI commented then:
“The safety of all participants is our top priority. We have thoroughly analyzed the situation related to the simultaneous participation of cars and motorcycles in tourist routes”. The analysis revealed that “The different driving dynamics can cause confusion between two and four -wheel vehicles.”
Concludes: “In this case, motorcyclists run a special risk because, unlike car drivers, they do not have deformation areas. Therefore, we have decided to strictly separate cars and motorcycles in the future and restructure the offer for motorcyclists so that they can enjoy the Nürburgring experience with the greatest possible security.”
Nürburgring reopens the track to motorcycles
Now, thanks to Motorrad Online, we have known that the initial scheduled calendar in Nürburgring for motorcycle users has increased from the four initial appointments to 38. Initially, in the words of Böder himself, the bikers could enjoy this 2025 of four one -day events, on July 30 and 31 and August 13 and 14.
In those two days, only motorcycles will roll and do so divided into groups by experiences of the pilots and, in addition, with monitors to make driving as sure as possible. Now two -wheeled fans can also enjoy: “Tourist walks on the track of the Grand Prix. Although it only has 5.1 kilometers long, it is still an injured route with some challenges and, unlike the Nordschleife, it has escape areas everywhere.”
Concludes: “Nürburgring currently plans 38 events from April 1, with exclusive sections for motorcycles. In other words: motorcycles will then be alone on the road”as detail from Motorrad Online.
