With a margin of just two weeks, BMW Motorrad has decided to put two of its most anticipated models into orbit. After the launch of the F 450 Rit seems that the turn has come for the F 450 RR, the “Hi-Sport” variant of the recent platform released by the brand with its ADV model. It will be the next October 15when the presentation of the model becomes official internationally.
BMW F 450 RR 2027: What we know
A few months have passed since we last spoke about the development carried out by TVS Motor of what would finally become one of the most anticipated models by BMW fans: the new F 450 RR. It was then confirmed that this innovative platform would be shared with the Apache RR 450.
The images captured by an Indian influencer’s camera showed us a test mule completely covered by a “camouflage” cover, leaving only the back of the motorcycle visible. From a rear view we could confirm that the future mid-displacement sports model would have a two-height seat, as well as a sharp tail or a standard double-arm swingarm.
Also a central monoshock and a brake disc anchored to an alloy wheel. Turning our attention to the front, we focus on deciphering some of the components chosen by the brand, responsible for the dynamic part of the model. We are referring to a well-sized inverted fork (probably a 43mm KYB), as well as a single brake disc.

Subsequently, we learned of the leak of the Tangent RR patents, “the basis for the future BMW F 450 RR.” For those who do not remember this concept presented by TVS Motor at EICMA 2025, the Indian company itself defined it as “a super sports car with a radical look, with a composite monocoque chassis and an orientation clearly inspired by competition.”
What we can expect
It is obvious that after the launch of the F 450 R, we can get a more or less reliable idea of what we can expect from the sportier version developed on the new BMW platform, in conjunction with the Indian group. Regarding your engine, it will be the 420 cc parallel twinalready seen in the current models of the F “four and a half” range, the one in charge of propelling this new model.

This has a balance shaft and a crankshaft timing of 135º and offers a power of 35 kW (48 hp) at 8,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 43 Nm at 6,750 rpm. The propeller will be integrated as a supporting element within a chassis made of welded steel tubes and forged components. In turn, the assembly will rest on 17” aluminum wheels, which will most likely use 110/70-17 tires at the front and 150/60-17 at the rear.
Finally, in technological terms, the F 450 RR is expected to use, among others, a package of driving modes, ABS Pro, dynamic braking control (DBC), dynamic traction control (DTC) and engine drag torque control (MSR), as well as a 6.5-inch TFT screen from which to control all parameters. In any case, for now, we just have to wait until next Thursday to clear up any doubts.
