Leonart surprises us again with the launch of its new mount, the innovative Wolf 450which also becomes the brand’s flagship thanks to the use, for the first time in its range, of a two-cylinder internal combustion engine of more than 125 cc.
And we specify the standard mechanics, because the Spanish firm also has in its product portfolio the Leonart Rigger, the first full-Electric Leonart with a neo-retro look and with which the brand tries to combine style, power and sustainability.
Let’s get back to the one we’re really interested in today, which is none other than this Lobo 450. A bike that at first glance, as a colleague from the editorial team confided to me a few hours ago, seems more like a production model than some kind of preparation, halfway between a scrambler design, with clear reminiscences of the 60s and 70s, with very personalized touches of a neo-retro look.
Leonart Lobo 450: The faithful companion for your daily adventures
As this section heads, the Lobo 450, in the words of the brand itself, would be defined as: “A modern motorcycle with superior performance, ideal for those seeking a dynamic riding experience on almost any terrain. Designed for those who value the essential, the Lobo 450 offers an agile and fun riding experience. It is a faithful companion for your daily adventures. Feel the freedom. Lobo 450: pure essence.”
And to tell the truth, we sincerely believe that they are not far from their conclusion. Although we have not been able to test it, what it transmits to us visually is a sensation very close to that description. In addition, it has everything necessary to perfectly combine that nostalgic touch with compliance with current demands within the two-wheel segment.
To achieve this, Leonart has equipped its Lobo 450 with an engine water-cooled twin-cylinder of 446 cc associated with a six-speed gearbox and powered by an electronic injection system with a 42 mm body. All in all, it is capable of offering us a final power of 37 HP at 8,500 rpm and 40 Nm of maximum torque at 5,500 rpmwith an approved consumption of just 3.4 l/100 km. While these are modest figures, in general terms they can be considered sufficient for mixed daily driving.
The Lobo 450’s chassis also helps to increase the desired riding sensations, including a double-cradle steel frame as its central part. Suspension is provided by a 50 mm inverted fork with 150 mm of travel at the front, while at the rear there is a pair of lateral shock absorbers with independent springs and 145 mm of travel between stops.
Braking is provided by a pair of 320 mm front discs with radial calipers, with a third unit anchored to the rear wheel. These rims are radial, placing special emphasis on the classic look sought, and are fitted with mixed Timsun tyres. Other relevant details regarding the technical part are, for example, the different maximum dimensions that make up the final silhouette of the Lobo 450.
- Wheelbase: 1,465 mm
- Ground clearance: 169 mm
- Length: 2,120 mm
- Width: 777 mm
- Height: 1,060 mm

Finally, we have the equipment section where Leonart has not skimped when it comes to equipping its new Lobo 450.
