Promising is easy, fulfilling is the complicated thing, but it seems that Volonaut Airbike begins to fulfill part of what it promised. In case you do not remember, it was a flying motorcycle in the purest style of Star Wars, which even to promote was piloted by an imperial soldier.
But what really was seen left doubts, if it really was a motorcycle that flew or had a trick. The plans, the style … It seemed yes, but what if not? Well, the thing is that now it is flying, as we can see in the videos, and we can also hear how it does and listening to it.
For the first time, without apparent trap or cardboard, we can see how the Volonaut Airbike takes off and moves. We can also appreciate the ability to stay static and its ability to maneuver, and even enjoy a walk in another video thanks to a subjective camera.

In this case, instead of flourishes and edited videos, the company has also published the takeoff and landing of a machine that only weighs 30 kg according to technical specifications. Those same specifications now speak of 200 kilometers per hour but of 102, and with a 10 -minute flight autonomy.
The truth is that in this test that is not appreciated, what is appreciated is part of its operation that depends on a jet propulsion engine (Jet), which is one of its main differences with respect to other flying motorcycles that we have seen.
It has no rotors and that makes it very compact, it also lands and detaches vertically as a helicopter, which implies that these jets have the capacity to go to one side or another depending on the need. Another curious fact is that it can work with different fuels: diesel, biodiesel, jet-a1, kerosene, and it takes only one minute to recharge it.
Although the most important thing is not seen and for all this to be functional, it needs a first level stability management system, since we can see how it is totally static in some moments. Of course, it does not seem easy to pilot and it is not cheap either, because it is known that it exceeds 770,000 euros with the current change, although its price is set in euros 888,000.
Anyway, no more details about their flight capacity are still known, although what we can know is that whoever moves in an Airbike volonaut will be heard from afar.
