The world of Citizen EVs could have a new actor in China in the short term. We talk about the next release of the new Qjiang bqa “design” scooter that looks at a line at least striking. However, far from being a novelty, this same model has been marketing in the Asian area, for several years, such as Benelli Dong.
Qjiang BQ in detail
Zhejiang Qianjiang Motorcycle Co., LTD has shown the images of his new Qjiang BQ recently, also offering us some essential technical details about it. Among them stands out their electric motor with a maximum power of 1,200 wcombined with a lithium battery of 60 v/20 ah/26 ah. Its maximum speed is 45 km/Hy has a variable autonomy between the 57 and 65 km.
However, beyond the borrowing aspects, the Qjiang BQ stands out for little peculiar forms. In them we find a monobrazo rear swingarm, with a single side shock absorber, where the posterior wheel is fully exposed, the result of the inclination to which the rear of the model is subjected, thus obeying the design criteria on which it has been created.
Other notable details are for example 10 -inch tires, with the lenticular rear. In both axes it has a disc brake and much of its structure is made of aluminum. Its final levels are 1666 × 670 × 1050 mm, in terms of maximum length, width and height, with a wheelbase of 1,227 mm. While the brand has not made public the official price, nor when its marketing will begin in China, this same model is already marketed as Benelli Dong in Indonesia.
In fact, this was presented in 2021, and is currently offered by up to three different color schemes. One last issue to take into account is whether the model will finally be marketed in European territory, either under the umbrella of Benelli or the Chinese business group.
What is no doubt that it looks a striking design and can be a truly efficient option among the saturated urban traffic.
