Jack Miller will continue in MotoGP with Prima Pramac Racing in 2025

Jack Miller is set to become one of the riders who has competed for the most manufacturers in the premier class. The current KTM rider, who has competed in 170 GPs in the top category to date and has achieved 2 pole positions, 23 podiums and 4 victories, has played for Honda, Ducati, KTM and already has a contract for 2025, having signed with Prima Pramac Racing.

Jack Miller will now also ride a Yamaha, meaning he will have ridden bikes from all the current brands except Aprilia. At the same time, it is a return to Prima Pramac, as he was part of the team in 2018, although, as has been usual until this season, he did so with a Ducati.

Prima Pramac Racing will therefore be introducing a new line-up and a new bike at the same time, as it will be moving to Yamaha and Miguel Ángel Oliveira will be its teammate. A strategy that will lead Yamaha to have two experienced riders in its satellite team, and Pramac to abandon its role as a “junior team” that it played under the Ducati umbrella.

Jack Miller’s contract is currently only for 2025

However, this may be the last chance for Miller, who, as the official statement reflects, is only for 2025. Jack is not having a great role and, in fact, during his time with KTM he has been regularly overshadowed by Brad Binder, and both this year by Pedro Acosta.

This situation has led to growing doubts about the future of the only Australian in MotoGP, although it is possible that the passport has had an impact. Logically, these mentions have not been included in the official statement by either party, who are pleased to have Miller in the team and the brand. Meanwhile, Jack himself has not been able to make any official statements as he is still linked to KTM.

Lin Jarvis, Managing Director of Yamaha Motor Racing:

“We are delighted to announce that Jack is joining the Prima Pramac Racing line-up, and we warmly welcome him to the Yamaha MotoGP group. With 10 years of experience in the premier class with three different manufacturers, Jack will be a valuable asset to Yamaha. His speed, knowledge, work ethic and team spirit will be invaluable to our project as we plan to improve the performance of the M1 in 2025 and beyond.”

“Yamaha will support him in any way it can.”

Jack is the only Australian driver in the category

Paolo Campinoti, CEO of Pramac and Team Principal of Prima Pramac Racing:

“It’s a pleasure to welcome Jack back to the team. We support his growth in MotoGP, and it’s fantastic to start this new partnership with Yamaha now, with the support of a rider we know well. We wish Jack all the best for the end of the season and look forward to welcoming him back in 2025.”

Gino Borsoi, Team Manager of Prima Pramac Racing:

“I will have the pleasure of working with Jack Miller in 2025. He has left good memories in the team and I am confident that we can create new ones together. His extensive experience in MotoGP is undoubtedly important for developing the new project on which we will work with Yamaha.”
