It is said in popular culture that the devil wears red and death wears black, and we ask ourselves, what about perfection…? Although taking a look at this GPZ900R White Fang by AC Sanctuarywe are almost completely convinced that the latter is wearing a white suit similar to that of our today’s protagonist. Because there is no doubt about one thing: The Japanese trainer went from being a mere mortal to a legend in the world of motorcycles a long time ago.
However, every time he surprises us with projects like the one we show you today, our perception of his work increases exponentially. His new creation, the GPZ900R White Fang is the most obvious proof of this feeling because, once again, he manages to overcome some intangible limits of which we thought he had reached his limit with the last of his projects, something that is evidently not the case.
Kawasaki GPZ900R White Fang in detail
It has been the friends of Pipe Burn who, recently, have given us an account of this GPZ900R White Fang. And once again Hiroyuki Nakamura, together with his AC Sanctuary team, shows us what they are capable of, integrating the Type-R equipment package into an iconic GPZ900R Ninja. It doesn’t matter that they have a list of almost 1,000 prepared motorcycles to their credit, that is not enough for what is possibly the most important specialist in this field in Japan.
Perhaps the owner of this GPZ900R White Fang could confirm this theory, after having in his possession one of the few mounts on the planet to equip the famous package. New Type-R, which now includes the possibility that the owner can choose some of the options that his motorcycle will mount.
In any case, and following the preparation ritual in this series, 17” Oz Racing GASS RS-As wheels were installed, replacing the 16 and 18-inch ones that are standard, shod with Metzeler RaceTec 120/ tires. 70-17 front and 200/55-17 rear.
To do this, first, the motorcycle was completely disassembled and the chassis was reinforced in those key points where it supports the most stress. Subsequently, the majestic Sculpture swingarm was attached, along with a steering head signed by the same brand. Full Ohlins suspension, the best Brembo braking on the market and Sunstar discs are also part of the cycle part of this GPZ900R White Fang.
On the mechanical side, a custom crankshaft, CNC machined cylinder heads were added, and the block was completely polished and ground. The engine now has a final displacement of 958cc, and uses a kit of Yoshi carburetors in the feed. Another detail to highlight is its incredible custom exhaust system made of titanium.
If we talk about the aesthetic section, the GPZ900R White Fang is composed of a front fender manufactured by AC, a custom front fairing or a handlebar and seatpost assembled with the sole purpose of achieving perfect ergonomics for its new rider. Nakamura himself explains the latter: “The front area of the handlebar has the entire upper fairing lowered by 10 mm, and the sides have been molded to avoid interference between the handlebar and the fairing.”
Both the side panels of the body and the rear part, which forms the tail, were also custom-made. The seat and head-up display come from the catalog of Sanctuary’s own brand, Nitro Racing. Finally, the tank was completely restored before applying the beautiful color scheme that this GPZ900R White Fang sports. Of course, without forgetting the instrument panel made up of different elements from top brands such as Stack, Yoshimura and Progress 2 Protec.
