Keep an eye on the new Hero Xpulse 421, a trail that will not leave you indifferent and that will arrive soon

Hero is already working on the future Xpulse 421, a new model of which the first images related to the patent registration carried out by the brand itself in India have been leaked.

From Rush Lane they tell us everything we can expect from this ADV mount designed to compete in the middle category of the segment. There you will have to face off against reference models such as the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, KTM 390 Adventure or the upcoming BMW F450 GS.

Hero Xpulse 421: Possible launch this year

After passing through EICMA 2024, Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, returns to the spotlight with this Xpulse 421. Let us remember that a little over a month ago some images of the patent registration of the which appears to be a Scrambler variant of its well-known Mavrick 440. Among the main new features, it incorporates a renewed screen, fork gaiters and telescopic forks. The handlebars are now composite and the alloy wheels feature a possible two-tone finish.

Now with the Xpulse 421, the brand goes one step further in terms of commercial aspirations within the two-wheeled sector. The ADV segment, especially the medium-low displacement category, has a wide range of models that stand out for their extensive capabilities on and off the road.

That is why Hero is preparing a frame in which the fan will not miss anything that is usually related to versatility and the enjoyment of driving on any terrain.

As we can see in these first images, the Xpulse 421 would use a chassis similar to that seen in the 210 variant. This translates into a tubular steel chassis, radial type tires, a wide one-piece seat or a front windshield of good dimensions. In addition, it incorporates elements with clear Offroad inspiration such as a crankcase cover, lever protectors or an exhaust system equipped with an upper side outlet.

The fuel tank promises a good capacity that allows us an efficient range of autonomy that, together with an ergonomic driving position, would not allow us to travel long distances comfortably. All this is combined with equipment that cannot be missing, among others, an inverted front fork and a rear monoshock, both with ample travel.

The wheels could be wrapped with mixed tires, 19 inches on the front axle and 18” on the rear. Hero is expected to launch a PRO or Rally variant with a 21” front tire, while in any of them we would have petal brake discs and disconnectable ABS.

In the mechanical section, the Xpulse 421 will have a 421 cc single-cylinder engine, associated with a 6-speed gearbox. Performance-wise, there is already talk of a power around the 40 HPoffering up to 40 Nm maximum torque.

In technological terms, Hero’s new ADV should have a full-color TFT instrument panel, Google Maps, different driving modes and a combination of electronic systems that guarantee maximum safety and ease of piloting.
