KYMCO’s new 3-wheeled scooter is committed to the city: flat ground and a more compact design

KYMCO is preparing to face the new present and future mobility challenges that arise in the markets where the company has a presence. In this context, the Asian giant has been working for some time now on a new range of models with which to continue covering the needs of the greatest number of users possible.

Within this work dynamic, we have recently learned how the brand is preparing a new three-wheeled scooter, with a more compact and differentiated configuration from the top-of-the-range CV3 575 model, as shown in the design document presented by the brand last summer to the Chinese patent office.

KYMCO bets on three wheels

The patent was finally granted by the China National Intellectual Property Administration on July 7, 2026, and it includes the name of Changzhou Guangyang Motorcycle Co. Ltd.KYMCO’s industrial company in that country. This project comes after the consolidation in Europe of the aforementioned CV3 575, “the most powerful B car license tricycle on the market that allows cornering behavior equivalent to a conventional motorcycle”they assure from the brand itself.

The new three-wheeled scooter presents a design oriented to the needs of urban mobility. Among the elements that reinforce this citizen approach we can highlight the flat floor, the seat at two heights and a specific architecture of the front axleas can be seen in the nine images incorporated into the patent document.

Main features of the model

Carefully inspecting the images provided by the company in the patent registration, these would be the main design and configuration elements that stand out in the future KYMCO model:

  • Compact body, with a less bulky and sporty appearance than that of the CV3 575.
  • Single-cylinder tilting engine.
  • Deformable parallelogram tilting front suspension, with a simpler architecture than that of the CV3 575.
  • Independent suspension on each front wheel (in CV3 575 there are two for each wheel), using an oscillating single arm.
  • Seat at two heights, with differentiated seats and handholds for the passenger.
  • Flat floor, which facilitates access to the vehicle and provides additional surface area to transport objects.
  • Large individual fenders on the front wheels, designed to contain splashes of water and dirt from the road.

Other parallel projects of the brand

Parallel to this request, KYMCO also registered the initials “CV-X45”, the same ones that, most likely, will become the definitive version of the concept CV-R5presented by the brand at EICMA 2024. In turn, both projects would be directly related to the CV-L6another ADV type scooter with clear touring overtones unveiled by the Asian firm in the same scenario just a year earlier.

At the time KYMCO defined the latter as “More than a simple means of transportation; it is a gateway to unlimited emotion”. Together we can witness the evolution of the brand towards new concepts within the motorcycle sector. Having a presence in multiple segments is essential to be able to keep up with the increasingly demanding competition.

Presumably, EICMA 2026 It will be the place where the company reveals some of the new features that will shape its future range of models. For now we can only wait for it to arrive. next November 3at which point the famous Milanese exhibition will kick off.
