Polestar Concept BST: based on the 6 and improved performance

The Polestar 6 is a model that will arrive in 2026 and that has already exhausted its reserves, but there are still unknowns surrounding it. Inspired by the Precept prototype, it is a convertible with a design that does not remain in an electric key, like the rest of the models of the firm. Although it is not yet on the roads, now comes a prototype that anticipates a more powerful version. It is the Polestar Concept BST which was presented at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and follows the line of other sports variants.

For Polestar, the acronym BST is an abbreviation of “beast” and they use it in their most beastly vehicles. We’ve already seen a few like the Polestar 2 BST and it looks like there will be more in the future. The new concept is a high-performance convertible that has seen a lot of changes. The bodywork has been custom-made and finished in a classic racing silver. The wheel arches are flared to accommodate the 22-inch forged wheels that are new.

It has also been extra work on aerodynamics and a streamlined bonnet and a new front splitter are introduced. It certainly looks like it will be a track-ready version of the Polestar 6, at least that’s what it seems from the look of the generous rear spoiler and a very sporty diffuser. The decoration has also been made for the occasion and has the BST signature. In short, it looks much more brutal than the standard one and it is clear that this is a variant in which the maximum has been taken advantage of to improve performance.

However, there is no information on that part. They have not given details of the electric propulsion system of the Polestar Concept BST, but everything points to it being similar to that of the Polestar 6. With the PPA platform, it will consist of two motors (one per axle) to achieve all-wheel drive. The power could be above 800 hp in this version and the autonomy will exceed 600 kilometers. These were the estimated figures for the 6, with a target of 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds.
