Is called Vitpilen 801 Custom and as we have recently learned, it was officially presented at the last edition of EICMA. In the words of its creators, the Austrian design studio Kiska Design, we are facing “a more elegant evolution of the original”. We don’t know if elegant would be the exact word, but there is no doubt that this striking preparation exudes quality and personality in equal parts.
Husqvarna Vitpilen 801 Custom: “What could be”
Just by taking a look at the figure of this Vitpilen 801 Custom we can reliably confirm several facts. On the one hand, that futuristic touch that it enjoys is responsible for letting us know that we are facing “what could be” a radical version of the new naked from Husqvarna. On the other hand, the number of top-level premium components with which Kiska takes the naked concept to another level.
To do this, they rely on key aspects such as aerodynamics and the chassis, making use of components made of carbon fiber, a rear lenticular rim or a new exhaust system that ends up emerging from under the single-seater tail. The latter is also part of the study carried out by the Kiska design department in this sense, with a clear intention: “This bike is not here to go unnoticed. “He’s here to dominate the stage.”
But man does not live by image alone, so the Vitpilen 801 Custom is equipped Brembo GP4-MS calipersT-drive floating brake discs and sports suspension WP Apex Pro. Likewise, the command post has been modified with a new, flatter handlebar in search of a more sporty driving position. On the other hand, if we look at the rear, we can see that the air box and taillight have been completely eliminated to make room for the custom exhaust with ceramic coating and white finish.
An aeronautical-inspired partition divides the exhaust pipe, offering us a truly suggestive rear view in this Vitpilen 801 Custom. To top off the project we find a custom yellow paint job, with matching bright highlights on the radiator covers, windshield and seat.
In the mechanical section we have the well-known DOHC parallel twin cylinder. 799cc which offers us a maximum power of 105 hp at 9,250 rpm and 87 Nm torque available at 8,000 rpm. Probably, the exhaust system changes the character of the bike at the top of the rev counter and even gives us some extra HP, although Kiska does not refer to this aspect.
