New CB1000F 2026: Two versions and almost half a century of history
Several months have passed since Honda officially presented the CB1000F Concept. Undoubtedly, a triumphal return of the CB saga with which the Japanese firm wants to honor one of the most emblematic acronym within its bosom: the Honda CB 900 F Bol d’Or of 1978. For this he has thrown all the flesh in the grill in such relevant aspects as the design or general finish of the motorcycle. Good proof of this are the colors chosen to give life to this iconic classic -looking variant; silver and blue.
After this launch, Honda revealed the silhouette of the CB1000F version, through a teaser published in its main social networks, also announcing that it would be officially presented, prior to the celebration of the 8 hours of Suzuka. All this after previously rumored the possibility that this same variant, with clear reminiscences to past models of the brand, could finally be launched under the commercial denomination CB1000F T2.
Honda has not disappointed and has finally shown in detail both versions of the expected CB1000F. While we already knew a good part of the main aspects of the model, it remained to see what are the differences between them. However, as we already sensed from the beginning, these are based on the addition of a frontal cupulino in the SE version, following the trend that Kawasaki marked at the time with its Z900rs and Z900rs Café Racer.
In general terms, this event has also served to show two new color schemes that bind to the one that has been used in the promotion of both variants of the concept. Next to the aforementioned silver and blue, the CB1000F 2026 have also had discreet silver and dark gray and an elegant black and gray, marinated with red details. In addition, as a final brooch to this staging, the well -known Japanese pilot Hiroshi Maruyama He tested the CB1000F, within the well -known Japanese layout.
You can know his first impressions about the model thanks to the article he has published in Young Machine, where he also explains with passion what has meant having been chosen to pilot the new Honda model in such a special event: “There I was, performing a test of the CB1000F Concept before a crowd at the festival prior to the 8 hours of Suzuka, next to the legendary pilots of the World Grand Prize Tadayuki Okada and Toru Ukawa … there is no greater honor than this!”
Everything suggests that the new CB1000F will be officially presented in their final version for the next fall. Most likely taking advantage of the celebration of EICMA 2025, although it will not be before the spring of 2026 when the Japanese brand begins to send the first copies to its official dealers around the world.
