With how messed up the world is, we have no idea what could happen tomorrow. However, Royal Enfield has come up with the idea of imagining a future world, back in the year 3000 AD, with its 4th edition of the online contest Art of Motorcycling. He does so using art as an excuse for it and invites his fans and followers to participate in it, giving his particular vision of what is to come in exactly 976 years.
To do this, it proposes to interested parties up to 4 different categories in which to participate. In all of them talent will be rewarded, but this must be accompanied by imagination and originality. It doesn’t matter whether you believe that the motorcycles will circulate underwater, that they are powered by hydrogen or that they are capable of teleportation. Everything is valid in this futuristic Art of Motorcycling proposal.
Art of Motorcycling: A millennium of evolution has been traversed
Under this motto, Art of Motorcycling invites interested parties from India, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia, Malaysia, South Korea and Japan to devise a world in images in the year 3000. Royal Enfield offers four different categories where they can present their proposals:
- Digital Art
- handmade art
- Gen AI
- Comic
The latter is new within the contest. Until now I had only had the first three, although in any case they all have the same purpose. The differences lie in the way each project is created. Whether manually, using artificial intelligence, digital tools or comics, in Art of Motorcycling this ability to visualize a very distant future is rewarded.
If you live in one of the countries included in the contest, and art is your thing, Art of Motorcycling is a perfect showcase to unleash your imagination and who knows, predict what awaits humanity in almost a thousand years.
We do not know if in the year 3000 we will still be a species on this planet. What is more than likely is that those who live there will continue to be motorcycle fans, don’t you think?
