In the last days Signthe South Korean company specialized in motorcycle communication systems, has left us some of its new features. Among them stands out this 60X, “the most advanced intercom ever designed by Sena”. This includes, for the first time in a model of the firm, a joystick control, associated with two customizable buttons.
Sena 60X: communicative utility “at your fingertips”
According to its creators, the joystick is designed to be located by touch and operated with gloves, without diverting attention from the road. The two customizable buttons reinforce this same logic: each rider can assign them the functions they use most frequently, according to their driving habits. Tae KimCEO and founder of Sena, commented after the official launch:
“I come from the world of technology and I also ride a motorcycle. On the road, there is not always time to look for a remote control, especially with gloves. With the 60X, we wanted to make useful functions more naturally within reach. For us, a premium intercom should not just offer more possibilities: it should make them easy to use right when they are needed.”
Latest technology and design at the service of the user
With Mesh 3.0 and Wave Intercomthe 60X allows you to keep communication open in those moments: When the motorcycles ride close, when they separate or when the distance exceeds direct range and Wave takes over with its unlimited range. Likewise, the 60X incorporates the Slim Design to the high range of Sena.
The approach is aesthetic: a thinner, more discreet module, which better follows the line of the hull. The Slim Design also responds to a very specific motorcycle limitation: reducing the volume added to the helmet. With its thinner profile, the 60X seeks to reduce wind resistance and better follow the shape of the shell, without giving up the controls or functions expected of a premium intercom.
On the other hand, with the SoundDesign adjustment and the WaveForm audio engine, Sound by Bose adapts the sound of the 60X to this reality, with fuller bass and a more stable sound, even at high speed. The goal: to preserve a clean, rich and clear sound, without having to unnecessarily increase the volume. Likewise, with Qi wireless charging, the 60X can be placed on a compatible charger at home, in the garage, or on the go.
