In recent weeks, we have known as Suzuki would be working on new models with which to expand its current 800 series. We refer to the more than possible arrival of the novel GSX-8T and GSX-8TT, two variants based on the well-known platform of the Japanese firm, which would be focused on a more tourist and versatile use. In fact, the Japanese firm requested the registration of both models before the California Air Resources Board (Carb).
Suzuki’s 800 series will be reinforced from July 4
Now, after the last teaser published by Suzuki on its social networks and official website, it is clear that the Japanese brand has everything ready to surprise us with some of these novelties. The image of a black billiard ball with the number 8 badge, warns us that in just 48 hours they will announce a new model integrated in its current 800 series.
But of course, although they could be the aforementioned GSX-8T and GSX-8TT, it is also possible that Suzuki is planning the launch, for example, of a neo-back version of its current GSX-8s. Another option would be a custom model developed on this same platform that currently gives life to three different models: a naked, a sports and one ADV, the latter also with two very different versions.
In any case, based on what we do, the technique that surrounds each and every one of these mounts, has a 776 cc bicylindrical engine, water -cooled and associated with a change of 6 relationships. The final result to this mechanical compendium is 83 CV of power at 8,500 rpm And a maximum pair of 78 Nm at 6,800 rpmdeclaring an average consumption of 4.2 l/100 km.
Undoubtedly, depending on the model you decide to finally launch Suzuki, there could be some relevant changes in a general way. It is not the same a “Modern Classic” version of the NAKED that they currently sell, than a totally new Custom -shaped model.
However, if one of the variants of cutting, cited before, there is no expected changes in the cycle or the standard equipment that each and every one of them is released. For now it’s time to wait for Next July 4.
