A mount that this same season turned 45 years old; To celebrate, the Japanese brand launched a limited edition of only 45 units with exclusive decoration, factory accessories and a price that also makes a direct nod to this figure.
The problem (for us) is that the brand decided to carry out this initiative exclusively in Germany, so the rest of European fans practically had no option to get one of the copies that made up this special series. Now from Suzuki Spain, they tempt us with this Limited Edition Katana, an exclusive series “which elevates the emotional, sporty and collectible component of one of the motorcycles with the greatest personality within the Suzuki range”as they themselves argue.
Katana Limited Edition: only 10 units of a very special series
The new limited edition is based on the Suzuki Katana, a model that reinterprets in a modern way the legacy of the GSX1100S Katana from 1981. That model marked a turning point in the design of street motorcycles and whose influence continues in the brand’s identity. The current variant maintains that historical connection with a sharp visual language, a compact silhouette and an unmistakable presence.
In parallel, it incorporates a current technical architecture and an electronic package aimed at improving control, precision and driving enjoyment. This special edition will be limited to only 10 units and adds a selection of specific components that underline its exclusivity.

These elements reinforce both the aesthetics and the sporty positioning of this version. The result is a Katana with a more differentiated image, aimed at motorcyclists looking for a mount with a strong visual identity, high emotional value and very restricted availability.
Suzuki Katana in detail
In the technical part, the legendary Suzuki Katana continues to enjoy its well-known configuration. On a mechanical level, it is equipped with a 999 cm³ in-line four-cylinder engine, liquid cooling and DOHC distribution, with a final power of 152 hp at 11,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 106 Nm at 9,250 rpm. This mechanics, adapted to road use and in compliance with Euro 5+ regulations, offers a linear delivery along with a response specially developed at low and medium speeds.
On an electronic level, it enjoys, among others, the Suzuki Intelligent Driving System, SIRS., which brings together different assistants designed to adapt the motorcycle’s response to the rider’s style and the conditions of use. These include the Suzuki Driving Mode Selector, SDMS, with three delivery modes or the Suzuki Traction Control SystemSTCS, with five levels of intervention plus disconnection.
Also the Ride-by-Wire electronic throttle, the bi-directional quick shift system, the low rev assist, and the Suzuki Easy Start.
