Yamaha R7 Cup 2026 in detail
The championship is structured in three categories:
- R7 Cup
- Master: reserved for pilots aged 40 or over
- Rookie: intended for participants with two years or less of experience in competition at the national level
Pilots must be a minimum of 15 years old and a maximum of 64, or turn 65 during the current year. All of them compete with the Yamaha YZF-R7 equipped with the circuit-specific GYTR kit, very similar to that used in the WorldWCR Women’s Championship, under an identical technical configuration that guarantees minimal differences on the track.
To compete in the R7 Cup 2026, Yamaha Spain once again offers different registration modalities that adapt to the situation of each rider. Participants who have acquired or are going to acquire a new YZF-R7 can formalize their registration as a new rider by 8,459 euros.
Those who already have a motorcycle prepared for the R7 Cup, either by having participated in previous editions or by having purchased it second-hand, can register for 3,799 euros. For those who rent the motorcycle, registration is 8,999 euros. Likewise, there is the option to participate as a Wild Card driver.
This modality allows you to take part occasionally in the R7 Cup, with a cost of 1,999 euros for pilots with their own prepared motorcycle, who will be able to compete in two races, and 2,299 euros for those who need to rent the motorcycle, who will compete in a single test. All types of registration include a basic pack with space in the Yamaha Racing tent, technical and sporting advice, race registrations, scheduled tests, paddock clothing, tires, Yamalube product and access to prizes and trophies.
At the end of the season, the drivers will distribute more than 20,000 euros in prizes. The winner of the R7 Cup category will receive a YZF-R7, while those who win the Master and Rookie categories will win a Ray ZR, as well as vouchers redeemable for original Yamaha parts and accessories for the second and third places.
