Huelva has become, for three days, the world center of adventure thanks to CFMOTO with the celebration of the MT Challenge Global Final 2026. 19 teams from different countries met in Spain to face two days of competition on the CFMOTO 1000MT-X in an event that ended with second place for the Spanish team.
For the first time, Spain has been the country chosen to host the MT Challenge World Final, an event that brings together the international CFMOTO community around adventure and competition. For three days, riders and brand representatives from different parts of the world have shared an experience designed to test their skills, discovering the potential of the CFMOTO 1000MT-X in very different scenarios.
CFMOTO MT Global Final 2026 Summary
On Saturday the activity began with the arrival of the participants, the reception of the equipment and the delivery of the welcome packs. Subsequently, the motorcycle draw took place at the Monteblanco Circuit, with four 1000MT-Xs of the same color for each country, two in high configuration and another two in low configuration.
In the evening, the opening ceremony served to officially welcome the participants and explain how the Global Final works, but it also had a special meaning for the hosts. CFMOTO Spain received recognition for the work and effort made in organizing an event that was held in our country for the first time.

Ten challenges to start the competition
On Sunday the moment of truth arrived, in which motorcycles and riders were put to the test with the Venue Challenge, which was held in the prepared areas next to the Monteblanco Circuit. The teams had to overcome ten challenges in which balance, precision, motorcycle control, speed, navigation and, especially, the ability to work together came into play.
Among the tests there were challenges as different as completing a route with opaque glasses following only the instructions received through a SENA intercom, facing a technical off-road area with unevenness, stones and ditches, crossing water and mud, overcoming sand or moving a 1000MT-X without using the engine between different obstacles.

The ELF Barrel Push Challenge also had a special role, in which each participant had to move a barrel using the front wheel of the motorcycle without taking their feet off the footpegs, a test designed together with ELF Spain, one of the event’s notable collaborators. To these difficulties an extra one was added:
All countries competed against the Dream Team formed by Mario Román, José Lombardía, Chris Power and Adrián Raduta. Although their results did not count towards the general classification, they served as a reference and the teams that managed to surpass them in the different tests received additional points.

After the ten events, Guatemala closed the first day at the head of a very tight classification ahead of the Dominican Republic and France, while Spain occupied fourth position.
Spain comes back in the Adventure Challenge
The competition changed quite a bit on Monday compared to the first day. The initially planned route had to be modified following the instructions of the authorities due to the conditions arising after the fires in August. In this way, the non-competitive route was contested only on local roads, while the points were going to be decided through four challenges distributed throughout the day.
The action began in Las Arenas Motocross Circuit with a Le Mans-type start, with the drivers separated from their motorcycles. Then they had to run up to them, start them and complete a lap of the route. The stopwatch only stopped when the last of the four members reached the goal, once again making teamwork a fundamental part of the result.

The next stop was in the area around Río Tinto, where a test of regularity awaited with a maximum speed of 60 km/h. The important thing here was not to be the fastest but to have the ability to reproduce as accurately as possible the time previously achieved by another member of the team without knowing their record.
The Spanish team achieved the best absolute result of all the participants, also surpassing the Dream Team and adding additional points. The local comeback continued later in the “El Mochu” Motocross Circuitwhere the four members had to complete a cross country route. Spain was once again among the top three before returning to the Monteblanco Circuit to face the last challenge: an individual timed section that ended up deciding the classification.

Guatemala takes the victory and Spain finishes second
The final result was kept secret until the closing ceremony. It was then that it was confirmed that the performance of the Spanish team during the second day made it climb two positions to finish second in the general classification, only behind Guatemala and ahead of France, which completed the podium.
Guatemala completed an outstanding performance throughout the event, not only for achieving victory, but also for the attitude shown throughout the tests and for representing one of the best examples of the spirit with which this Global Final has been planned.

For its part, Mario Olmedilla, Dani Sánchez, Rodolfo Martínez and Miguel Cepillo They signed a performance marked by effort, commitment and joint work, especially during a second day in which they managed to turn around the classification to take the Spanish team to the second step of the podium.
The 1000MT-X, common protagonist
Beyond the results, the CFMOTO 1000MT-X has been the common protagonist throughout the weekend. The same motorcycles have had to face balance exercises at very low speed, sand, water, technical areas, trial, cross country, timed tests and kilometers of road.

Second place has put the finishing touch to a World Final with a special meaning for CFMOTO Spain. For the first time, our country has hosted this international event in which teams from 19 nations have participated and in which a joint deployment of CFMOTO Global and CFMOTO Spain, which has already become a milestone in the history of the brand.
