The end of an era? Harley-Davidson sells part of its historic headquarters to a distillery

A new chapter opens in the current financial crisis through which it is going through Harley-Davidson. On this occasion, the American company has just closed the sale of the facilities where until now its headquarters was located, in the city of Milwaukee. The buying part is a famous local distillery, Central Standard Craft Distillery. Pat Mcquillanco -founder and president of the same, the news declared such:

“We found Central Standard Craft Distillery to be part of Milwaukee and grow with it. This alliance and expansion reaffirm that mission. With this acquisition, we are excited to strengthen our roots in the city we love and demonstrate our commitment and investment in the Milwaukee community.”

Harley-Davidson will continue to operate in the place

Despite the impact that the news has caused among the brand fans, it has already confirmed that it will continue to operate from the same place. In this same location, Davidson Park was recently inaugurated, reflecting Harley-Davidson’s commitment to enrich his legacy, participating to the local community and its surroundings. In addition, as part of its commitment to invest in Juanneau Avenue, the American brand recently began the renewal of the campus area.

“There is no more representative brand of Milwaukee than Harley-Davidson. With more than 120 years of continuous operations in the city, we are extremely proud to invest in Juneau Avenue”he declared Tori TermaatHarley-Davidson Human Resources Director and president of the Harley-Davidson Foundation.

Concludes: “On the basis of the excellent work led by the Harley-Davidson Foundation to revitalize the Juneau Campus, we look forward to your next stage. And at the beginning of our next investment phase in Juanneau Avenue, we are excited to welcome Central Standard to the Campus.”

Recall that Harley-Davidson does not go through his best time after news such as Jochen Zeitz, his current CEO, announced his early retirement or be harmed by Trump’s famous tariffs. To this we must add the data that had its last Annual Sales Report, with a 60% drop in the income that depends on HD and Livewire, in addition to selling 53% less motorcycles in the last three months of 2024.

From the end of them “The acquisition of the renewed space of 73,000 square feet will offer full production of the distillery, a tasting room, guided tours, private events and new job opportunities. Harley-Davidson will continue to operate on the site as it has done for more than 120 years.”
